are compliments and attention not ways of making someone feel special? yes, there are other (and more effective) ways of acomplishing this... but those two are easily given, and generally well received.... they cost nothing but thought and time, and for that effort you receive a smile, a laugh, and occaisionally... if you did it right... happiness.
