McClung Warehouse is a burnin'

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

McClung Warehouse is a burnin'

Post by Hardcoregirl »

Wow, we made CNN.

Don't you love how in Knoxville, every old building that is under any sort of scrutiny by the city or historic groups finds a way to mysteriously burn to the ground?

Is it just me, or does that fire seem more like what you'd expect from the tank farm on Middlebrook than the framing timbers and floors of an old warehouse?

I know there was a furniture refinishing business in there, but that looks like WAY more than a few drums of methylene chloride and polyurethane.

I heard it was a few 55 gallon drums of varnish etc...

but the real problem is old wood.

I don't think I need to tell you how hard it is to control a raging fire when old wood is involved...

I'm saying from the video it didn't look like old wood - it looked like large volumes of petrochemicals.
