moving to knoxville from UK

Post by Scarby »

Hi All

It seems that due to my job i should be moving from england to knoxville in around 6-8 weeks for around 6-12 months and just wondering if anyone can offer me some advice/show me around?

A little about me:
22 years old, Male, have been part of the london scene for about the past 4 years (minus breif absences in other cities around the UK and a few months in other european cities) musically i'm into pretty much everything ( in order of preference: EBM, Industrial, trad, Metal - though i tend to avoid the harsher metal and am very into folk at the moment). As far as what i enjoy on a night out: good company first and foremost, am very much a fan of microbreweries and local beer (is there much of that?) on a night out at the pub. Also enjoy hitting the clubs (Whats around in terms of things to do on a thursday/friday/saturday?)
Also am a keen airsoft player which seems to be around but not as popular as this side of the pond

Finally can be reached on MSN via scarby[AT]anllp.co.uk if any of you want to chat?
(email obsufocated incase of spambots - simply replace [AT] with @)

Really hoping to make the most of my rather extended stay in the US

Welcome!

This place is dead most of the time these days (no pun intended), since our coffee shop closed...

But, we do still have a local club night. It is called Temple and happens every Saturday night.
You can find more info on it at http://www.myspace.com/templenight

There is also a new dance night starting on Friday nights in what we call "The Old City". We can get you more info on that later...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay on this side of the pond.
