How not to get sued by the RIAA

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

How not to get sued by the RIAA

Post by iblis »

Okay, I'm not getting into the ethics of downloading and/or copying songs on here, as that's a great big holy war that I don't really care three shits about.

However, for those who do use P2P file-sharing programs, you might want to learn how to avoid being sued. There are tons of examples of how this could come about, simply from being ignorant of how the P2P program of your choice works.

is it just me or does that sound like complete dissinformation, if everyone did what that site told them to. the music industy wouldnt need to sue anyone because no one would be able to share files. yeah keep from getting sued, turn off file sharing and change the names of all yer songs so they wont come up in a search. fuck that. sounds like corpriate trickery to be. I say fuck em all. this whole campeign is a complete invasion of personal privacy as well as completey fueld by greed.

DAMN THE MAN SAVE THE EMPIRE!!!

some one should start up a non proffit to help with costs of people being sued by the industry. the first kid they took on had his entiraty of his legal fees paid for by donations from people on the net. organization would be the best tactic to fight them
Chris - Seriously what fountain of youth did the other members of Bauhaus find....they haven't aged a day wile Peter Murphy looks all old and haggard.

Jello Biafra - HE DOES NOT LOOK HAGGARD! Don't say that about Peter! Is there another Guinness over there?

I really like the:

Thus, narrowing down their list of people to check up on.
