Dragoncon or bust! - Atlanta

Well broke actually. FYI I just noticed that today (6-15) is the last day to purchase memberships at $60. Tomorrow they'll be $75. Mr. Shaper & myself are going, anyone else?

I will be there, as always...I wouldn't miss it for the world.

It'll be Omegaduck's first! I'll try to be gentle...which won't be hard, as this will be the pregnant con.

Pregnacon! I went last year. Almost as good as MILFcon.
I will probably not go, but anyone interested in carpooling might shoot a PM or email to Flamegrape.

I thought about going for 1 day but I checked the site & they said they may not provide single day passes this year because its gotten so big. They're not announcing their decision until 30 days out. That's why we got full passes even though we will probably only go for 2 days.
Mr & Mrs Duck. Have a blast. You have several wonderful reasons to, same as me & Mr Shaper. 1-You get to go with your best friends-each other. 2- No Drama. Maybe we'll bump into each other :)

I'm there every year :)

I am about to go outta my mind. I am so anxious to go! A year is way too long to wait in between dragon cons.

MMM James Marsters! And, of course my beloved Volty!

I'm excited to hear Ghost of the Robot play. I love me some James!

I know some people from Marvel and DC are going to be there. They've been kind of lacking on the comics end the last few years. Hopefully this year will be a little better! I know Judd Winick will be there. Gotta get some Green Lanterns signed. Oh, and of course Paul Jenkins! I've always got tons of stuff he can sign. And David Mack!

Caitlin R Kiernan will be there again, as well as regular Phil Nutman. Phil rocks.

I wanna meet Ray Park. Heheh. Darth Maul. Toad. Its hard to imagine they are the same person.

Oh, and I am excited that Luke Perry will be there! LOL! Gotta get my buffy movie signed!

And, lol, Rowdy Roddy Piper. heheh!

I'm such a geek.....

Who is everyone else looking forward to seeing? What do the rest of you usually do at the con?

I usually make a schedule out for me and Xas every year, leaving only about 2-4 hours of sleep per day. Of course, we never even do half of what I plan to do. We do all the daytime shit (panels, dealers room, etc) and all the night time stuff (bands, drinking, walking around, partying, dances) It takes me like a month to get back to normal after D-con.

The reason they're saying they're not gonna annouce if one day passes are gonna be available until 30 days prior, is so everyone will freak out, want to 'save money' and buy pre passes.....

If it weren't for one day memberships, they'd have like half the attendence....cus that place is empty the first and last days.

I don't know if I will be able to afford the whole weekend, but I do plan on trying for at least a day.

I think they will have the day passes, they said the same thing last year, and still did day passes.

Interestingly, my reply seems to have been lost. Anyway, one more time:

I think we're saving our money for Anime Weekend Atlanta, where generally the cool people are cooler and the cute girls are cuter.

And the cute girls are all dressed up like Leena Inverse from SLAYERS or Excel from EXCEL SAGA. *drooool*

We were at the hyatt last year. It was great beacuse we were close to everything (we were at the super 8 prior) but the place was so crowded! The wait for elevators was unbelievable. And, ever tried to pass an overweight klingon followed by a cute little fairy with huge wings on the stairs? 3 times?
We'll be at the Westin this year.

Dragoncon this year seems like it will be better than last year.
I've always wondered what it would be like to sacrifice a friend. Now that I know, I need to find another one.

Hey. Woah, I've missed this board... Dragoncon! I've got my all weekend pass reserved, I just have no where to stay. If anyone's looking for roomies to make a hotel room cheeper, I have looooads of experience room sharing! Also, it's a custom of mine to sleep on the floor while i'm on a con trip, so no bitchyness from me over bed space! I'll be at sanctus this month (finally!) if anyone wants to discuss it in person. Probably won't see much of me all weekend anyway cuse I'm planning (and don't laugh) to be Zhaan from Farscape all weekend. It's a long story, but I'm kinda v. envolved in the "Save Farscape" campaign. Aaaaanyway, pm me, send me an email, or see me in person at sanctus and I'll give you my phone number, we'll talk! :)

Sorry, nevermind about the rooming thing. Someone in the SaveFarscape community asked me to be her roomie. But I won't be hard to find me and my blueness at the con... See ya there :)
