Amateur Art

Post by vicious_blood »

Does anyone know of anyplace that displays local amateur art anywhere around here? I'm trying to get a few of my paintings shown and maybe (finally) start my career off a lil. The only place I can think of is The Knoxville Museum of Art and I've already inquired about it there...
If anyone has any info about stuff like that I would be very grateful!!!

Well, many online art forums can be found on the internet. Most of them will host an online gallery for you, and some of them will provide a "store" for you to sell your prints, etc. Google search will turn up more than enough leads.

I believe many of the coffee shops have monthly or weekly amateur art shows. I know Java west used to, but I do not know if they are closed or moved. 11th St. Expresso house has art, but I am not sure how frequently they change it. I would call around.
