We sent out the S.O.S. call, it was a quater past 4 in the morning,
When the storm broke our 2nd anchor line.
4 months at sea, 4 months of calm sea.
Only to be pounded in the shallows off the tip of Mongomery Point.
They call them 'Rouges', they travel fierce and alone.
One hundred foot faces of God's good ocean gone mad.

What they call love is a risk, cause you'll always get hit out of nowhere, by some waves and end up on your own.

The hole in the hull defied the crews attempt to bail us out.
Flooded the engines and radio and half buried bow.

Your toungue is a rudder that steers the whole ship.
Sends your words past your lips and hides them safe behind your teeth.
But the wrong words will strand you, send you of course while you sleep, sweep your boat out to sea or smash it apart on the reef.

The ship groans as the ocean pressures it's frame.
Off the port I see the lighthouse thru the sleet and the rain.
I wish for one more day to give my love and repay debts.
But the the morning finds our bodies washed up 20 miles west.
They say that the captain stays with the ship, thru still and storm.
But this aint the "Toronto",and the waters cold...we won't have to fight for long.

This stories old but it goes on and on until we dissapear.

Calm me and let me taste the salt you breathed while you were underneath.

You are the one that haunts my dreams of worlds sunk below the sea.

I spoke the words but never gave a thought of what they all could mean.

I know this is what you want.

A funeral keeps both of us apart.

That's pretty fuckin cool! Now if we can just get tom waits to put some music and vocals to it I'll have my new favorite drinking song...keep um coming....that rocked!

Thanks, it already does have music to it, maybe one day you all will get to hear it, if you're nice.
