What 's your opinion?

You see...I wrote this poem several months ago and I found it as I was digging through some old papers. I remember reading it and nearly falling to sleep-(That's what's supposed to happen)-and I just wanted to know what you guys thought. Here it is....
"GET SOME SLEEP"
The stars shimmer with the grey moon in the sky
their reflection rippling in the pond nearby
The bullfrogs sleep and the night owls hoot
The kitten yawns sleepily curled up in a boot
No dragonfly zips, no minows dash
Not even the wind dares make a splash
Houses all in a row are shadows in the night
Snores can be heard from windows without light
The swingset is rusty but not a squeak is heard
The willow tree is bed to the flock of birds
The road is empty, no cars zoom here or there
The scruffy dog twitches as he dreams a nightmare
The grass is wet with slight fog up above
The clouds seem to cuddle on the Earth with love
Baby bats snuggle under Mom's wing
and dad returns with a meal fit for a king
The land is full of dark, sleep, and the cozy night
and I urge you - get comfy so you'll sleep tight
Catch a few ZZZ's, a cat nap at least
Cut off those nightly shows, make needless games deceist
It is time to rest , to dream of counting sheep
Yes, now is the time to really get some sleep

SO...........WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY POETRY, THEN?

As you already know, I think it's lovely. You can post your poetry in Literary Gothia & you can read what others have written too! ;)

Actually, no.
Original stories and poetry can be posted in KnoxGothic Storytellers; The Literary Gothia is for discussing books, writing, and publishing your work.

Bear in mind that if you publish your work here, or anywhere on the net, it's considerd "published" if you try to sell it later. ("Published" meaning that you can no longer sell the first publication rights for that piece, not "published" as in being a published author. When submitting, always let the editor know if the piece has appeared *anywhere* at any time.)

I've moved it to the storytellers forum.

We have no sports forum. We will only have a sports forum over my dead body.
We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.

If I wanted smoke blown up my ass, I would have bought a lenght of hose when I bought cigarettes. Just kidding. Thanx dear, but you sell yourself short. I think that, while I refuse to deny my own talent, there are many, much more talented writers on here than me! I don't think that anyone can deny that.

Trevor, stop being so humble.. you know you're good. You've said it before. I recall you saying something along the lines of "it's my only talent".. and if I'm actually making an effort to read your writing, then it's obviously got potential. Why do you think I won't let you read any of MINE? ('cause compared to yours it really does blow goats nuts) :P

oh, nice sig by the way. ;) but you know it was my mom who said that...

So...you want me to be a narcisistic ass? Kidding. I never said that I'm NOT talented, just not the MOST talented. That's all. Thanx sunshine. I love you. I would like to read some of your writing, someday.
Side Note:I'll change the sig soon anyway.
