Teeheee, me and my best frined were talking about this on the way to Maryville the other day. We were talking about what our cult...err..I mean colony, would be like.Honestly we put way to much thought into it, and I won't post. Why? Because it fucking creeps ME out.

Hrmm...I suppose Ill start it out then.

I would creat the Hipocricites. They would be a race of interstellar beings created by peoples imaginations as figments of religion. They would have multicolored skin with polkadotted eyes, with hair coloring varying between all colors of the rainbow. They eyes would be oval shaped, seeming in appearance to extraterrestrial origin.

The clothing they would wear would be generated by thought, and mood. Depending on the condition and age of the Hipocricite, they would have variations and limits as to what they could wear...ie, children could not wear bondage and S&M clothing, as well as adults could not wear lil hats with helicopter propellors.

The religion would be optional, as would the idea of work. Seeming to the Hipocricites, religion is just a fad. Believing in something that has no evidence. On the other hand, some believe that the ways of Wicca apply to their inner soul. They see nature as an artform, one that they can shift and mold to fit there desires. Some follow the ways of old, and some consider the new age ways as most closely to their own.

As far as rules go, there are none for the Hipocricites. Sex is expressed as early as the thought is conceived. They believe an active and kinky sex life is just what nature intended. Otherwise why would there be a Blowfish or a Humpback Whale?

okay.... now i may be letting my long-haired dirty hippie roots show... but i've thought more than once about setting up my own little society/commune/what-have-you... mostly so i can just surround myself with people who don't piss me off in an effort to see if I can actually go a whole entire day without wanting to kill someone for doing something stupid.
as for details... well... it depends on my current mood. I've always wanted to get off this fucking planet and away from it's hypocritical governments... if the technology was currently available, my ideal habitat would be in space. maybe a space station set up as half residence half nightclub in a fixed orbit that stays permanently on the dark side of the moon...
but apparently that won't happen in my lifetime unless someone solves the issues around the expense involved in getting off the surface of the earth. which doesn't look promising currently.
the other option would be the ocean. think massive concrete domes hundreds of feet below the surface... out in international waters of course...

now that we have the location, it's time to move on to the heart of any good cult/society though... their beliefs... well... honestly, i've no interest in religion - but i have nothing against it, as long as it isn't being forced down my throat, or being used in a manner that affects me directly. Really, I'd have to say that I'd like to found a society much like the way this country was meant to be. where all of the members are free to do as they like, so long as it causes no harm nor injury to any other (without their prior consent :twisted:

You want to wander around naked and have seven wives who are all free to take partners as well? fine. you'll need one of the larger apartments then... right down the hall, turn left and then down the stairs, have a nice day. You want to sit in a closet and masturbate while smoking pot for the rest of your life? Do you want a private closet, or do you mind sharing? Fine. right this way...

but i guess we'd have to do something productive, or starve. So individuals would have to work. At whatever they felt happiest doing. Someone, somewhere will be willing to pay for you to do it. Even if it's just to turn on a webcam so they can watch while you smoke pot and masturbate in your closet.
