Ehm? My virgin eyes! OW

...hmmm? *confused* Didn't mean to insult you, just appears that us kiddies are gonna be thorns in the side of an otherwise enjoyble event. But if no one would mind, I'd still love to go.

Explain this drum circle thingy. Or is it self-explanatory?

I have been planning some camping trips myself.....I think that would be great....if you need some ideas of where to go give me a call.
Hey Bone!
Remember that "Camp out party" we did back in 1991/1992 with Celtic Smith, Liz and the other freaks at that campground that your family owned up in Pigeon Forge?
Ha!
That was a long time ago!

Not unwelcome, or thorns in anyone's side. I'm just concerned about KG getting a reputation for being "cult"like and recruiting young adults to do things without their parents permission.

When Arse wanted to go out when she was 16, we thought it best that I meet her parents, and offer our home for her to stay at afterwards, so she wouldn't be driving past curfew. It worked out so well that her Mom and DaddyGoth come out sometimes. :)

Actually, *god I can't believe i'm about to say this* I can say that Paul's mother has met, and likes, Kit. And, she was very ok with him getting home late, at least the last time she was. However, if there is a mandatory sign and release form, I think EVERYONE under the age of 18, should have to have a parent sign it.

Here are some suggested camsites for you to chew on:

1. Cumberland Falls State Park, Corbin, KY - It's got an awesome view of the cumberland falls, plus for those of you who are wiccan/pagan, or just get off on Full Moons ... Cumberland Falls has one of only two naturally occuring full moon moonbows in the entire world! (the other one being in Victoria Falls in Africa). Plan a camping trip up there for the full moon. It's also only an hour and a half trip up I-75 out of Knoxville. http://www.state.ky.us/agencies/parks/cumbfal2.htm

2. Hot Springs Spa and Resort, Hot Springs, NC ... this place is just heavenly. You get access to natural hot water spas, a campground nearby, plus the whole town has a nice quiet feel to it. This whole place just gives me good vibes, and it's only an hour and a half east of Knoxville on I-40. http://www.hotspringsspa-nc.com

Ok, yea I lived there, and I don't think it would work out. Let just put it this way, they don't like anyone that's not like them. I don't think that us going there would make us look good. It is known to be a VERY radical and racist town. Just thought I would let people know. Yes it is bueatiful, however, they are also one of the largest supporting KKK towns in America. Litterally. I just don't think that us going there would make us look good, espically if something went wrong. But then again, I'm a total spaz about stuff. However, they do have some pretty good hiking trails.

I might have to drive out from Nashville, nothing like being out in the woods.

Though it sounds like there'll be too much technology available for my tastes.

I dont think that most places like to see goths in their territory , but sometimes we all have to ssay "what the hell" and just go and try something out . Only after the event can we really say for sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing . I personally cant see why there is so much negative disscusion bout this thread already . Is the mass majority of us really that afraid of a few bugs and some dirt ? Are we all afraid of what the locals think of us ? Hell, we all go out into the public every day , and sometimes in big groups . lLike at Sanctus . Why do we all not mind things so much at that those times . And to KarlaBoo, while I see what you are saying , The mass populus will for any opinions of us that thier narrow little minds will com up with , we cant stop that . So , who really cares or gives a damn what the locals will think of us and our group . I don't . Instead of fearing them , if they do happen upon us , we should then try to educate them. But like I said , they will make their decisions bout us nomatter what .

I have said it onece and I will say it again . LETS DO IT!!!!

For the record, Bone already has a few parks in mind. I believe that we will be going on a scouting trip soon (read: a good excuse to take the bikes out on a sunday afternoon.)

Um, yeah. That's kind of EXACTLY why we took the steps that we did with her family. We wanted her to be able to hang with us with out her parents worrying about it.

And for those worried about trouble in KY - they do recognize TN concealed carry permits...

This sounds wonderful to me. I'd love to do it, though I'm not experienced at camping. Just need the details to try to work it all out on being able to do it.

Well considering I lived in Corbin, until my dad FINALLY got his work transfer, 6 months later, it isn't excatly a plesant place, and I felt the need to tell you all. While the falls are bueatiful, the locals are another story.

I have just one thing to say at this point in time , and that is " To HELL with what the locals will think of us " . The locals can do nothing to us , unless we are doing something stupid and wrong . I have been dealing with the ocals round the Smokey Mtns for a good long while now , and I have never had any issues going camping anywhere thus far . And we do a hell of a lot of camping in the mountains . Coor , What are you afraid of ? You seem to be trying to talk folks out of this by trying to tell them that the locals are bad . I have found that as long as you are courteous with them , they will do the same for you . ALL I WANNA DO IS DRUM AND HVE THE GIRLIES DANC FOR THE FIRE AND THE DRUMS
