Calling all the old and old at heart

Post by ms.tangledwebs »

I am posting this in the dumpster, tho it is an honest question, but I know the smart asses on this board and , in anticipation of their responses, figured I would just stick it in here to begin with.

What part of your body hurts the most, when and why (if you know) ? And would you change or replace them if you could?

For me, it is my Knees, when : if I sit still for more than a couple minutes they begin to act as tho they no longer intend to move from that position, Why: well one is an old dance team injury, and I think the other is sympathy pains, I think my old work shoes inflamed the problem, and I seriously HOPE there is nothing more serious wrong with them. And would I fix them if I could? HELL YEAH, I would love to be able to stand, walk, and dance without pain all the time!!

ok Your turns

Hard to say. I had what I thought were some carpel tunnel issues before I changed my mouse - that has made a lot of difference. I suppose I feel my age more in my lack of interest or motivation of taking care of myself. I'm about 30 pounds heavier than I should be and have high blood pressure. That's not good, and as a youngster, I'd have done something about it...Now I could give a shit. :P Apathy in your old age is not a pretty picture.

well i don't look my age, runs in the family to look younger than we are. as for how old I feel... depends on the moment. that ranges all over.
what hurts the most- right now it is the nice large blister on my forearm from burning myself last night getting biscuits out of the oven. what's going to give me issues though, is my back. too much lifting of heavy percussion equipment in high school.

i dont look my age
i dont feel my age
i feel about 40 and i look about 18.
body part that hurts the worst: back. car crecks, base ball bat injuries, crowbars, concrete, stab wounds, you name it and my lower back has felt it. i get like back spasms and shit all the time. i think its funny though.its not much of a problem for me because with steady exercise the only time it ever bothers me is impacts and heavy objects that need a good lift.

I am 32, but look much younger and feel much younger.....

Nothing hurts regularly except my lower back, and that's because of birth defects.... No fixing that.... I'll just have to deal.

I dont think I look my age...or act it......people who dont know me guess less than 21.

Feel....naaaah. with the exception of arthritis which is controled by a huge pill in the morning. I feel fine.

I have repeatedly twisted my right ankle , they are very weak and sometimes fall over at random........ In the wintermonths, sometimes my ankles get so stiff and painfull that I have to crawl to the door to let my dog out. If you look at them, the righon looks bruised and swollen, Its permanently detached tendons and scar tissue buildup. My right wrist has also been broken and gets stiff and achey from time to time.

Didnt you used to be a ballerina? Take care of your joints. many atheletes after quitting or not practicing their sport for a while begin to experience the same thing. The best medicine for stiff achey joints is repeated useage, excercising the joint and a good antiinflammatory like eh....brain shut down I cant remember the name. I know that sounds crazy and sometimes its so painful you dont wanna move but its true. WORK THE JOINT!!!! I have NO problem out of my ankles aftedr I work out for a while.
Ben? why are there noodles inmy shoes? hmmmm?

Don't know if I look my age or not... never really cared much to that end. But I feel older than I think I should
Why? If I had I known that I would "Actually" live to be as old as I am, I would have taken better care of my body.... ah well

If i look my age or not varies depending on how i'm feeling and how i'm dressed. At my worst people guess me at close to my actual age. At my best i have difficulty convincing convience store clerks that my ID is real and i'm old enough to by cigs.

Part of me that hurts the worst is left knee. Had a major fall while rock climbing in my teen years. Dr's say that i will need to get it replaced in 5 years or so. Whether or not i will depends on how it feels at that point. i'm not really fond of the idea of knee replacement, but if it gets as bad as they say it might, i might end up doing it.

Do I look my age? Most definitely.
Do I feel my age? I never really thought about it. People are how they are. I am as I am. Age is only a number.

As far as aching bodyparts, I have tendonitis in my knees. They really hurt at times, but they are only a reflection of the things I have done in my life. We all have injuries. Some are external; some are internal. Its a part of life.

People tell me i look older than i am....*shrugs*
i guess i do if i don't dye my hair like once a week, or i'm being lazy for said week.

I also don't feel my age...i fell about twice my age. Eh sometimes its not as bad....but remember being 17....it seems alot longer ago that the simple 5 years it is.

Body Part that hurts the worst.....again this depends. My lower back is odd...my knees are as well....allthough those are just from bumping ALOT, and not knowing how to bump when i was 14-20. I must say that my right wrist hurts the most of anything on my body most consistantly....i broke a bone in it last august...then reinjured it in december, and never had the bone fused, or had a cast or anything like that....but thats not age, thats ignorence.
I'm a big bright shining star......

Some people think I look older than I am, some people think I look younger... but for the most part - people don't think. Most of them just aren't capable.
How old do I feel? Most of the time, it's somewhere between seventy and six hundred and forty. But with enough drugs to kill the aches and pains... and a few lovely ladies to keep me distracted... well then it's a whole different world.

well, considering the fact that I've been dealing with cancer the past few years, I definitely feel older than I look. I feel like I'm 100 years old, but I don't think look or act my age. No one ever guesses my age and when I tell them, they accuse me of lying!

to those of you that know my age: shhhhh! ;)

For me its not the years its the miles.

I did a lot of growing up before I was 14. So much so that my mom said I was 12 going on 40.

I feel younger than I am, and I've been told, on occasion, that I look under 18. I accept such comments as blantant lies, of course, but it has been said.

I would say that its my back, simply because I have spondylosis, and also my right hand, where I broke it into like 30+ different pieces when I got into a fight with a steel gurter.

Ha you can't see me buried under the layers of children hanging off of me...I feel like a kid sometimes, but have to remember that I am a grown woman with 3 kids to raise by myself, and I should put the glitter lipgloss back on teh shelf since I have no where to go anyway, and just buy the damn Windex instead.

My whole body hurts since 4 people sleep in my bed.

I'll be 32 in June, & if I don't die my hair, I can apparently pass as my husband's mother. Grrrrr...

I had my first child at 17, so yeah, I've worn my body out. I have weak knees & ankles, as well as some nasty arthritis. I can still dance with the best of them, though! ;)
