Hell Boy

Post by Lost Traveler »

Saw this at the sneek peak last night at west town.

I enjoyed the movie (haven't read any of the comics), sort of a MIB with demons. Pearlman dose a great job as a classic Pearlman character. The girl is hot ( ).The Chtulu like gods add a nice darker flavoring to the story. The action is loud (this is primarly a action flick, just a sprikling of a story) and fast, lots of jokes (its almost a comedy). I have one or two complaints but they would be spoilers so I'll discuss them later. I would say go see it. 8-) 8-) 8-)

A slate review

I saw this last night and it totally kicked ass. I have never read the comics, and wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it was. A bit long for what it was but still really good. I give it 4 stars outta 5.

The Chtulu like gods add a nice darker flavoring to the story.

Hmmmm...I loves me some Hellboy, and Del Toro's Devil's Backbone was one hell of a great movie. But the previews for this just looked plain silly, in a very League of Extraordinary Gentlemanly Silly Way. Van Helsing would appear to suffer a bit from that gleamy (Ooooo! Shineys!) look as well.
