It's 1984?

Post by Ryuu_Draven »

I was linked here through someone http://www.livejournal.com/users/anniesj/331112.html and it just astounded me that this could happen.... Thought I'd share with you guys, you know...in case you're in the habit of speaking FREELY in your blogs...

I am moving this to "General"...meant to put it there in the first place.

It's not exactly 1984, but DoHS does have software that spends it's entire time searching communications networks for anything related to threats against the president. Now we can't see the original post, so it's hard to comment on what she said. But clearly they aren't harrassing her about it, they showed up for 10 minutes, determined it was bullshit, and left, and did so in regards to something she posted in an entirely open and public (and apparenlty high traffic) place. If a popular web site like Penny Arcade or IGN or something made similar, they would receive equal if not harsher treatment.
