What bands and music should be played on a Classic or tradition Gothic night?
and what music would be completely Unacceptable.
Be brutal, be honest and say what you want.
Your opinion counts.
Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Shadow wrote:I have to say that I do not consider myself a 'goth". I am a fan of 80's hair bands and metal. The music that I listen to now, such as Disturbed, Godsmack, Fuel, etc, never gets played at Sanctus or Temple. I don't sit around and whine about it, I listen to things that the DJ's play, and find something that I like and might dance to. If I was to go to any event, simply for the music, then I would never go out to these nights. I think that most of the folks on this board, Kn0xFeratu and Temple don't go simply for the music. We go to gather with our friends, hang out and talk, dance when inspired to do so and drink. If you are looking for what inspires folks to dance, perhaps that is what you need to ask. Having a 'goth' define what is 'goth' is going to give you nothing but a headache, I fear. Since 'goth' is a loose based word or term, for the most part.
Good luck in your quest.
