Kung Fu Hustle
Check out this trailer http://www.kungfuhustlemovie.com and tell me what you think. It looks better than that House of Flying Daggers crap. One more thing why is no one in K-town showing Ong Bak. That movie makes HOFD look BITCH.
Just a few quick opinions:
Ong Bak - Not too impressed. The star, Tony Jaa, is pehnomenal and has great charisma. The movie itself, Van Damme crap. Some good fight scenes, but a pretty crap movie overall.
Flying Daggers - Also crap. Pretty to look at though, and one scene, the fight in the bamboo, is good enough to keep me from selling the disc. Not a movie for action lovers.
Kung Fu Hustle - Loved it. From the same man who brought us Shaolin Soccor. Very very funny, lots of CGI, the bad asses in this practice the same "extrordinary" fung fu as in Shaolin Soccor. Stephen Chow is proving himself an exceptional talent and I can't wait for his next movie!

I got this in the mail from a friend in Iraq. I must say, it's the most visually stimulating movie I've seen in a long time. Cinematography and special effects totally kicked ass, and put to shame what has been coming out of Hollywood lately.
I haven't even watched it with the subtitles on yet, but having some friends over to watch it tonight.
