Amber Spyglass – Untitled Promo
Catalyst Groove
Red Dust
Little Things
Being a spooky DJ has its upsides. Likely the biggest of which, is unexpectedly receiving really good music from new talent. Today was one of those days. I gave audience to 3 new tracks from Boston MA based Amber Spyglass. It took less than a minute to realize that I really liked what I heard. Soaring female vocals, emotional guitar, and well-placed effects combine with melodic bass and expressive drums to form a potion of flying layers both beautiful to hear and feel. Put simply, it’s ethereal at it’s best.
According to the information enclosed in the package these selections are due to be released on an upcoming CD but no other info was given as concerning a album title or release date other than “Spring 2003”. You can find the usually sought after information at http://www.AmberSpyglass.net or wade in a little deeper by visiting their blog at www.LiveJournal.com.
