Author Laura J. Underwood will be speaking and reading from her work on May 2, 2005 at 6:00 pm at the Fountain City Branch Library as part of the Fountain City Branch Library's Southern Writer's Program. Underwood is the author of several novels and numerous short stories in the fantasy field. Her work has appeared in volumes of SWORD AND SORCERESS, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, TURN THE OTHER CHICK, BUBBAS OF THE APOCALYPSE and many other anthologies and magazines. Her novels include ARD MAGISTER (Yard Dog Press, 2002), CHRONICLES OF THE LAST WAR (Yard Dog Press 2004), and several collections. She has two novels forthcoming from Meisha Merlin in 2006 and 2007 (DRAGON'S TONGUE and WANDERING LARK) and just sold a novel to Five Star Speculative Fiction titled THE HOUNDS OF ARDAGH.
