Wildside Press Seeks Cover Art

Post by JaNell »

From the Wildside Presswebsite:

WE NEED ARTISTS!

Because Wildside Press is doing so many book projects, we are greatly in need of talented artists who wish to gain greater exposure for their work. (What better way to build a portfolio than with actual printed book covers?) We are particularly looking for existing mystery, science fiction, fantasy, and horror artwork.

We do have the following requirements:

* Digital submissions only (e-mail, Zip-100, Jaz, or CD-ROM)
* Full color artwork.
* 300 DPI Resolution.
* Preferred dimensions: 5.5" wide x 8.5" tall (trade paperback size) at 300 DPI. We can crop or add borders, if necessary, for artwork which doesn't quite fit.
* Previously unpublished in the U.S./Canada.

Do you have a web site? We're happy to take a look at samples there, too.

For e-mail submissions, please send a LOW-RESOLUTION (72 DPI) .jpg/.jpeg file of any artwork you wish to submit to: artsubmissions@wildsidepress.com
Please: make sure it is under 50K in size! If we want to use it, we will request a higher resolution file.

For zip, jaz, or CD-ROM media, send to:

Wildside Press
Attn: Art Director
PO Box 301
Holicong, PA 18928-0301

Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your media.

Payment is 2 copies of any book with your artwork upon publication, plus $100 or 50% of the amount received (whichever is greater) from licensing a reprint edition of the book to another publisher who also uses your artwork. Click here to see our art contract.
