MySpace Is The Trojan Horse Of Internet Censorship
Media elite's last gasp effort to save crumbling empire

MySpace isn't cool, it isn't hip and it isn't trendy. It represents a cyber trojan horse and the media elite's last gasp effort to reclaim control of the Internet and sink it with a stranglehold of regulation, control and censorship.

Since Rupert Murdoch's $580 Million acquisition of MySpace in July 2005, it has come from total obscurity to now being the 8th most visited website in the world, receiving half as many page hits as Google, despite the fact that on first appearance it looks like a 5-year-old's picture scrap and scribble book.

MySpace is the new mobile phone. If you don't have a MySpace account then you belong to some kind of culturally shunned underclass.

What most of the trendy wendy's remain blissfully unaware of is the fact that MySpace is Rupert Murdoch's battle axe for shaping a future Internet environment whereby electronic dissent, whether it be against corporations or government, will not tolerated and freedom of e-speech will cease to exist.

MySpace has been caught shutting down blogs critical of itself and other Murdoch owned companies. They even had the audacity to censor links to completely different websites when clicking through for MySpace. When 600 MySpace users complained, MySpace deleted the blog forum that the complaints were posted on. Taking their inspiration from Communist China, MySpace regularly uses blanket censorship to block out words like 'God'.

Earlier this week Rupert Murdoch sounded the death knell for conventional forms of media in stating that the media elite were losing their monopoly to the rapid and free spread of new communication technologies. Murdoch stressed the need to regain control of these outlets in order to prevent the establishment media empire from crumbling.

MySpace is Rupert Murdoch's trojan horse for destroying free speech on the Internet. It is a foundational keystone of the first wave of the state's backlash to the damage that a free and open Internet has done to their organs of propaganda. By firstly making it cool, trendy and culturally elite for millions to flock to establishment controlled Internet backbones like MySpace, Murdoch is preparing the groundwork for the day when it will stop being voluntary and become mandatory to use government and corporate monopoly controlled Internet hubs.

The end game is a system similar to or worse than China, whereby no websites even mildly critical of the government will be authorized.

The Pentagon admitted that they would engage in psychological warfare and cyber attacks on 'enemy' Internet websites in an attempt to shut them down. The fact that the NSA surveillance program spied on 5,000 Americans tells us that the enemy is the alternative media and that it will be targeted for elimination. Google has been ordered to turn over information about its users by a judge to the US government.

The second wave of destroying freedom of speech online will simply attempt to price people out of using the conventional Internet and force people over to Internet 2, a state regulated hub where permission will need to be obtained directly from an FCC or government bureau to set up a website.

The original Internet will then be turned into a mass surveillance database and marketing tool. The Nation magazine reported, "Verizon, Comcast, Bell South and other communications giants are developing strategies that would track and store information on our every move in cyberspace in a vast data-collection and marketing system, the scope of which could rival the National Security Agency. According to white papers now being circulated in the cable, telephone and telecommunications industries, those with the deepest pockets--corporations, special-interest groups and major advertisers--would get preferred treatment. Content from these providers would have first priority on our computer and television screens, while information seen as undesirable, such as peer-to-peer communications, could be relegated to a slow lane or simply shut out."

The original Internet will deliberately be subject to crash upon crash until it becomes a useless carcass of overpriced trash and its reputation will be defiled by the TV and media barons cashing in on the perfectly streamlined Internet 2, the free for all network that just requires you to thumbscan in order to log on! Those with a security grading below yellow on their national ID card will unfortunately be refused access. Websites that carry hate speech (ones that talk about government corruption) will be censored for the betterment of society.

For the aspiring dictator, the Internet is a dangerous tool that has been seized by the enemy. We have come a long way since 1969, when the ARPANET was created solely for US government use. The Internet is freedom's best friend and the bane of control freaks. Its eradication is one of the short term goals of those that seek to centralize power and subjugate the world under a global surveillance panopticon prison.

Rupert Murdoch's MySpace and its ceaseless promotion by the establishment media as the best thing since sliced bread is part of this movement. In saying all this we do encourage everyone to set up a MySpace account, but only if you're going to use it to bash MySpace, Rupert Murdoch and copy and paste this article right at the top of the page! I have been on myspace for a couple years now.

I like it.

Just like the real world, you have lots of stupid people doing stupid things.

Just like the real world, you don't really have freedom of speech because you are really just playing on someone else's playground and have to follow their rules, whether its the US of A or myspace or any other website you don't own.

Just like in the real world, I don't really give a rat's ass.

I met my wonderful boyfriend and many great new friends on myspace...so I don't really have much reason to hate on it. I hate plenty of the people on there, but as for Myspace and the people who run it...

there are much bigger fish to fry and things that actually matter that perhaps you should put your energy into. Help the katrina victims, volunteer your time at a homeless shelter, send some money to aid in AIDS relief, support a woman's right to choose, etc, etc. Find a useful cause to rally .

i dont believe everything i read on the net. this is included.
alot of this is baseless crap
its in the top 10 globally and floats in the top 5 in this country.

show me sources, because ive seen sources that are in total opposition to this.
the statistics on myspace they quote are wrong.

when myspace sold it was getting hits on par google, thats why it sold for so much.the growth statictics show it getting google level traffic in the next 2 years. in the sale, Tom and Co. keep most of the control of the site until they decide to hand it down. he still runs most of the show. and the myspace pages look basic because decorating it one of the main draws it gets so much money thru the banner loads. and it makes people spend more time on the site. He did a big interview on g4 about this, also stating his only competion now was ISPs and their search pages and even yahoo couldnt compete with him in the long run. and im starting to believe that quote.

ive never heard of a page being shut down over bad mouthing businesses, and if it would have that shit woulda hit the net like wildfire.

this person is pissed off their friends list is too small.
and the collective dick of the authors.

i personally like the site, ive made quite a few friends thru it.
and ive seen alot of crazy sick shit thru it for it to be so censored.
major corporations dont give a shit what people say about them, they control the cash and they are unavoidable.

God part aside, if you came into my house and starting using my resources to tell people I sucked, I'd probably tell you to leave too.

And if you brought your friends with you to complain that I stifled or repressed you, I'd use you all for target practice and see how repressed you felt then. :lol:

Just had to comment on that. Assuming it is true, it IS their company and they can do what they want with it. And lose/gain users and advertising clients as a result of it.

even if it is true (which i HIGHLY doubt because man like half the net would love to see myspace die and they are phishing for info like this) bottom line is they let you get away with anything but biting the hand?
seems valid

im sure all those people who met their girlfriend, boyfriend, best friend, one night stand, e-stalker, or found long lost friends thru myspace make the majority and not the 20 or 30 whiny pissants saying wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but i cant do this.

i just now got on myspace, hell before last week i didnt know what a blog was, yea now i do, i can see how assholes can use myspace in a bad way, but that happens everywhere, when i go to hell, i plan to ass rape those child molesters....fuckers. Anyways i dont see myspace as bad, ofcourse ive only been there a week. thats my 2 cents

The company that own's Myspace was bought by News Corp (owned by Murdoch!) back around July of last year. Myspace is now a part of Fox's Interactive Media unit (also owned by Murdoch).

You don't have to believe everything you read on the net, but a little research goes a damn long way.

i used the site when it was new, ill use the site for a while.
most of its users i know are in that boat. why? its a pain in the ass to keep up with old friends, myspace makes it alot easier.

the claims of making a big deal outta this, the false facted censorship claims, and the total just stupidity of the whole issue is more what ive been aiming at.
absolutism makes us no better than the enemy. and its people like the author of this that give the left a bad name.

If it were true that your myspace profile would be deleted for bashing myspace and/or Murdoch, then why are there so many myspace accounts still active that were set up for the sole purpose of bashing Rupert Murdoch?

The problem isn't Myspace...It is the apathy of our society and the attitude of I don't give a fuck that has allowed censorship to go this far....If this is a democracy, do not we the people not make the rules? I have a Myspace page...and every day I am expecting to be deleted...I agreed to their rules when i signed up, But I have never respected authority. This Is 1984 and Farenheight 151. We are living it. So all you can do Is fight the system as best you can...Because in a subversive culture there is no unity in Individuality. Which is why we are all endangered, and why I am learning how to use automatic weapons. Baaa Baaaa.
