closet doorknobs

Anyone know of any regular household item that I could use for doorknobs on my closet doors? There are small holes on them, about 3 or 4 millimeters in diameter (don't ask the circumference, i'm fucking horrid at math, what would that be, 9?? I don't even know the damn formula! :roll:

)

Circumference = pi * diameter

Circumference = 3.14 (3mm)

Cirucmference = 9.42 mm.

I still don't know what to use for my damn doorknobs though, haha! Eh, i'll figure something out... I know that formula is correct, but why is 3 millimeters 3.14? What is the 14? Guess this isn't a fuckin math forum though, should've paid better attention in math class, lol.... :microwave:

the symbol "pi" is an infinite number that is rounded down to 3.14.

You multiply it by your diameter of 3mm to get your answer.

Ok, I've not had any coffee yet so this is as creative as I get.

As far as common household items to use for doorknobs, the only thing I could think of was if you have some tennis balls, drill a hole through them and run a bolt through them. But that' not a household item unless you have a dog and then they would be dog slobber balls.

MMM. You could take small tin cans, like for tomato paste, and do the same thing.

I'm trying to think of things that would be easy to grab.

You could also find some interesting branch or root and trim it and sand it down and drill a hole through it.

Take and old cell phone and drill a hole through it...that would be interesting.

Small stainless steel ramekins

a small stuffed animal

cat o 9 tails...trim down the handle, tails side out.

Wooden or glass finials that you often see at the ends of a curtain rod.

That's all I can think of for now...feed me caffiene and I will see if I can come up with more.

you can apply the same principal to a finial as you can to a doorknob (i.e. it can be decoupaged)

No problemo, to be honest I had to look up the formulas online. I confused the forumlas for area of a circle with circumfrence of a circle. (circumfrence is just pi*r and area is pi*r square)
