Brokeback Mountian
Brokeback Mountian
Saw it.
It restored my faith in filmmaking...espicaially after the last few films I've seen.
A few things I expected, but didn't see.
1. Penis. Not one cock shot...but there were tits...
2. Blow job...again...not one male on male.
3. Man on Man lovin'...One scene...
4. Male kissing...maybe twice through the whole movie.
So...Yea, for being a "gay cowboy" movie...not a whole lot of gay...In fact...there was more naked Anne Hathway and Michelle Williams than anything else.
But it was a good film. Killer cinematography, and the sountrack was very fitting. It covered that sex and violence bit a little heavily...but yea.
4 stars out of 5...
4 because it was pretty long, due to character building.

Banned in the Bahamas. Silly Bohemians. Of course, it's also banned in China, but everything is banned in China...

so i watched this movie the other night and for the record, im only gay of the second weekend of every month. but yeah, honestly, i thought it was a piece of shit.
like really terrible.
im okay with the whole dude on dude kissy kissy shit...that's fine and there was very little of it. what im not okay with is everything else.
1. the acting wasnt very good. there were moments where i was really digging the acting (like when someone is screaming and committing acts of violence) but for the most part it was super fuckin cheesy.
2. that pesky fucking music theme was played like a million times.
3. there were little 3-5 minute segments where there were nothing but shots of nature (creeks, moutains, trees) that just felt like they lasted forever and did nothing but annoy the everloving shit out of me...while that terrible music was playing.
4. there are other things that bugged me but i really dont feel like typing anymore so im gonna wrap this up.
i was really looking forward to this movie because i had a vision in my mind of what it was going to be. i was completely wrong and that's nobody's fault but my own. here is the best way i know to describe this movie to anyone who cares.
imagine a really trashy gay romance novel written for middle aged women. now imagine them adapting the novel to make a made for TV "lifetime movie" for middle aged women... then throw in a couple of movie stars and you have Brokeback Moutain.

I thought the acting was really impressive. Espicially on Heath Ledger's part...but Anne Hathaway did suck serious ass...
As for the theme music...yea I hate that, but unfortunatly that happens in a lot of movies, and I did feel that part of the movie was really slow...

i thought the acting was good. im totally convinced they both are gay in real life.
i agree the soundtrack was lacking. i also agree that there were way to many nature scenes. those were the parts where me and kym giggled waiting for the man on man love so it wasnt to boring.
i bought it. i just watch the love scenes now. the first time i saw it i cried.
