i personally don't see anything wrong with driving a gas sucking suv. if they can afford it then whatever. its their right to drive whatever they want.

You think its right to more quickly use up fossil fuels that belong to all of us?

yes. i do.

they pay more for it. and the percentage that they pay also increases more drastically the higher the prices get makeing them far more affected by the raised gas prices than yourself.

its capitolism. and its a good thing. do you think it would be a good idea to put a cap on how much wood a person can use when building a house? or how much metal can go into the construction of a car? or how much food they eat in a week?

so nobody should be allowed to have nice things? even if they can afford to have them?

foolish and impractical, yes i agree with that. but it is anyones right to be so. don't get my wrong, I am all about working on cars with alternative fuels and green power, but i think that saying that someone can not drive their SUV because it sucks to much gas is worse than them actually using the extra gas.

explain to me how its everyones gas please? if it was everyones i don't think we would be paying $3:00 a gallon (my car only runs on premium) for it or go to war over it.

Well of course it doesn't really "belong to us" but we are all from th is planet and its all we've got. Wood- renewable, food-renewable, metal- recycleable. Once the fossil fuels are gone, they are gone for a few, what thousand, or million years?

I don't think anyone really has any business driving an SUV or anything gas guzzling...not just because of the fossil fuels but the hole in the ozone layer...things that affect everyone on the planet.

well it is very fortunate for everyone that its very hard to govern morality.

not allowing people to drive large vehicles or guzzle gas is not the answer, taxing them more, maybe, other incentives to use yes fuel, definitely. taking that 100 billion dollars that republicans wanted to use to bribe us into drilling in the Alaskan wilderness and use it for green energy research.. most definitely. (note, drilling in the Alaskan wilderness is a big no no, but its not like they can really deny that the money is there now can they.)

Yeah, I agree, it is their right to spend more and use more gas.

but I also agree with hardcoregirls point. It is an issue of fairness.

I hate people who run red lights... the disease is not so bad here in Knoxville as it is in Chattanooga - I've seen people run red lights a full 2 seconds after there... they have put calming delays on a lot of intersections down there and it has helped reduce the rate of accidents.

The other thing I hate is people who don't turn off their turn signal... especially when they are in the right lane with a left signal on the interstate....and you are in the left lane with a person tailgating you.... and it's worse if person with the blinker going is a semi.
