agreed.
I hate that saying: "You can't have your cake and eat it too."

Because what's the point of having cake when you aren't able to savour and enjoy every tastey morsel it has to offer you.....

Well people's cats eat birds and small furry pets, babies eat anything they can get in their mouths and get away with, snakes are probably only going to eat something they shouldn't if they are being let loose like most people let their cats and babies LOL.

I'm starting the society for the control of cats and babies.

In other news, I got to watch my boyfriends ball python eat a cute furry mouse last night.

The drama of nature unfolded in an aquarium in my living room. Better than tv.

Oh yeah, I've seen that one. Kinda gives you a new thing to worry about in the ocean.

Back when Ashe and the City Council decided to make a law in Knoxville that any owner of a large Boid or Python Species, typically Boa Constrictor, Burmese, Indian, Rock, Anaconda, or Reticulated Pythons, had to obtain a yearly $50 dollar permit, per animal, for any that passed 5ft (to come and examine housing) I did a LOT of research. I contacted the Knox County Animal Control, and those for Roane, Blount, Sevier etc, any county that TOUCHED Knox, and went through there records and interviewed some of the older members working. Not one single time has Animal Control EVER been called out for an exotic snake attacking a human. The 3 calls I did find were someone asking them to come to the persons house to help find a Ball Python (typically a 3-5ft snake) that had gotten loose in the home. Now I found a TON of injuries, bitings, maimings and fatalities relating to Dogs. My point was if snakes had NEVER caused a reported injury, they cannot pass this law without requiring the owner of every breed that HAS caused an injury, which at the point you get to "Mutt" is all of them, to pay this 50$ yearly fee as well. They railroaded this in and didn't let ANYONE speak out on it. I say the guy shoud go buy himself a nice aggressive PitBull and see if that makes his neighbors happier 8).

Me and my boyfriend were discussing people's irrational fear of snakes. I'm not afraid of them, unless they are poisoness, even though I had recurring nightmares about them as a kid.

I kinda wonder if it is somewhat society induced, or just a natural instinctual throwback to when our primate ancestors were in the trees.

So I decided to take the baby ball python to work with me as a diversion to the monotony. I work in an archaeology lab, these people work outside in nature All the time.

Well one of the Phd's is mortified of snakes. She loves frogs, but can't look at pictures of snakes without getting wierded out.

WTF? lol

Yes, I have wished you were dead. You are just another face in the crowd, someone who brings me suffering, someone I truely hate.
