I take it this is not a remotely gothic music kinda place / crowd?
my gothic music choices are clearly stated here:
http://www.knoxgothic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1057

so my more top 40 ish 80's choices would be:

blondie - dreaming - - utah saints mix
ABC - be near me
clash - train in vain
bill nelson - flaming desire
b-52's - planet claire
bronski beat - why? or smalltown boy
erasure - chains of love 12' mix
depeche mode - everything counts - meat beat manifesto mix
madonna - into the groove
bowie - ashes to ashes or lets dance
new order - round and round or vanishing point
porno for pyros - pets
prince - computer blue or kiss or esp. erotic city

if you could fit any of that in it would make my evening.....

thanks for the ear.....

This probably won't win me popularity points, but since it's the Fourth of July I think it would be appropriate to play a patriotic tune or two. I'd love to hear Ray Charles' America the Beautiful [which I'll probably have with me if needed] and/or the Jimi Hendrix guitar solo rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.

And some Dead Kennedys after that, preferably California Uber Alles or Pull My Strings.

Good to see you, Fink. Quite the ghoulish avatar you've got there.

Oh yeah that reminds me...

UB40's cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love".

Thought I think that might have come out in the early 90s (but when has that ever stopped something from being played?)

How about "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" by Great White and since it's the fourth, we can shoot off some fireworks.

Posted: Fri Jul 04, 2003 5:25 pm
by The Fallen
Art of Noise w/ Tom Jones - Kiss
just because I'm sorta tired of Prince's version

How about we just burn Michael Jackson in effigy?
