If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

She's still in the hospital. She is having a lot of soreness and it's hard for her to get around. She is also fairly bored. *grin* If anyone wants to go visit our poor little Queenie, just send me a PM for details. I'm sure she would love the company.

Don't bother bringing her any food though. The poor dear is on a clear liquid diet for the 3rd day in a row. Eww.

I've always enjoyed being on a liquid diet. But then again, I doubt the hospital serves 151 to patients... though they should.

So, is she keeping her gallbladder as a keepsake? Sort of like those stuffed animals you take home from the fair..

I know...you could dehydrate it and wear it as a necklace...I mean, its yours you made it, you should be able to take it home.

I mean, it was a part of her for 20 somethin' years...

Hope she is feeling better, the liquid diet isn't so bad, once you get used to it ( I was on one for a few weeks at one point). If any of you can cook, here is one to try: my grandmother made me all kinds of hommade stews then proceeded to dump them in the blender and liquify them, sounds gross, looks worse, but when you have the choice of broth, carnation instant breakfast, and jello, that stew is a welcome change!! Good luck!! I would do it, but I have a bad habit of ruining everything I cook  lol

She's doing much better and is home now. She can eat some food but stiff tastes odd to her right now. ;o)

She says thankyou to everyone.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words and good thoughts. I am home and out of work for the next week so I will probably be online A LOT as I am not allowed to drive or anything. The doctor gave me hydrocodone and augmentin. I'm enjoying the hyrdos...they make it a little easier. All I've eaten so far is the equivolent of one biscuit and a reese cup. I'll slowly get my appetite back. Unfortunately, I didn't ask for the gall bladder....wish I had. They had already sedated me before I remembered to ask and the last thing I remember was them wheeling me into the OR and me saying "this room is scary" and then I woke up with no gall bladder. I love you all so much and as soon as I am back on my feet (and cleared to drive) I will be back out and see you all! *hugs*

That's okay, I didn't really expect you to get it.

After all, the Evil Overlords have to have something to clone you with after they win the war and repopulate the world with what they shall dub, "Numanity". ;)

Glad to hear that you're recovering. Hospitals suck, and not in the good way. :?

I hope you are recovering in a timely manner. One of my best friends has her gall bladder out a few years ago. Don't be surprised if certain foods (particularly the green peppers, lettuce, etc.) don't agree with you. Get well soon!

Thanks for the heads up on that. I'm starting to eat more of the things I was eating before and so far, so good. The meds make me a little queasy but it's all good. I'm paranoid everytime I check my staples that something isn't normal.

Ha...I'm so goth, I can show you my staples!! Couldn't resist.

Anyway, I haven't tried lettuce yet and don't eat green peppers so I'll see...keeping my fingers crossed that most food agrees with me. Thanks.

Yeah, I am thinking the hospital was a more calm atmosphere, getting stabbed at all hours of the night and stuff. :o)

I'm just happy to be back. I missed EVERYONE!!!

me too...it totally sucks donkey balls.

Just happy they managed to do my surgery without messing up. I think it's a rare and glorious occassion....as long as they didn't leave some needed operating tool inside me.
