Yuck. I remember that. My coffee pot has never been the same.
Damn you and your Seaman habits.

The best coffee is when it is poured back into the coffee maker and run through the grounds twice. That's why my coffee maker was nice and dirty.

Coffee should be Black as Night
Strong as Hell
And sweet as Love

-Turkish Proverb

unless the worlds coffee supply is being rationed due to war, that has got to be the absolute most disgusting and sacrilegious thing I have ever hear in my entire life.

and ibbie, don't ever touch my coffee maker again.

During WW2, the British used to take burnt toast and use it for coffee grounds. Occassionally they still do in the British Navy as part of tradition. To me, that's just plain weird.

You go to Heaven for the Weather,
You go to Hell for the Conversation

My goal is to be damned enough that I make it through all nine bolgias of Hell on one ticket, like Disneyland.

I certainly never expected this dippy little thread to make two pages. Hmm. You guys are really bored, aren't you?

BTW...running the coffee through the maker twice ruins the piping.

As far as people going into my kitchen and trying to cook anything, that's grounds for the death penalty.   My kitchen.
I don't share.

Watching a CNC Vertical Milling Center is REALLY dull. Upload code, start machine, machine stops, upload code...

ironically the machine's coolant pump just stopped and I had to clean the filters.

I also buy inexpensive coffee makers, and run CLR or something like that through to clean out the pipes.
