Oh, and BTW, there's someone on this board who keeps threatening to go away but never really does; she's always trying to be "elite" by pointing out others' grammar mistakes, but I've seen some doozies in her writing. I always snicker to myself. I just love it when people make themselves look stupid when they're trying to achieve the opposite. :roll:

Well, I can't laugh at you. In spite of having the "I before E" rhyme permanently etched into my head, I keep writing "peice" rather than "piece"...

We won't even talk about "separate". It never looks right.

I learned it a wee bit differently:

Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November.
Thirty-one hath all the rest
except for February, which is the best

That sounds much better than what I was taught. At least it all the way rhymes. hehe.

I believe it goes:
Thirty days hath September
April,June and November.

Then the rest is:
All the rest have thirty-one
Except February which has twenty-eight
Til Leap Year gives it twenty-nine.
I think that's how that went.That was in third grade so it's been awhile. hehe!

I bought a calendar......
and I am not a spelling nazi ...I wont correct people but everyone I know comes to me for spelling...its the only thing I am good at....and before you start.......I just can't type

For leap year comes once in four,
then Febuary has one day more.
Then February has one day more.

Please don't make fun of my spelling. I was the only kid in the ACE program who failed spelling every year with grade card grades like 53 and 45.
