Mr. Rogers

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

I do. I remember it came on right before the rest of the Krofft Superstars. It was a Saturday morning fav.

oh, i've had that one for awhile in my archives.

though i wouldn't have posted it here, in this context, unless i thought that jim henson would have found it funny.

he seemed like he had a nice, demented sense of humor himself. which goes great lengths to explain most of his work, if you really think about it.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if his old shows are in syndication, or have they vanished into the network archives?

I remember all of those Krofft shows. Remember Seymour and the Seamonster, or Electri Woman and Dyna Girl? I was talking to someone about all of those just a few months ago. Theyw ere our age, and did't remember any of it. I always thought the funniest thing about those shows was how *blatantly* drug-culture inspired they were... Puffnstuff????

Someone (McFarlane Toys maybe) recently put out H.R. Puffnstuff action figures.

I was watching a thing about Mr. Rogers this morning and I realized, exactly how different his show was. He never tought us to read or to write, or our colors, shapes, numbers... he tought us about feelings. He talked about things like divorce, and feeling feeling different from others, and special needs. In the thing I was watching he said that he got into TV because he *hated* TV; he wanted to change it. He really, really was a unique figure.

I liked the Hardy Boys. I had a major thing for Shaun Cassidy.

I was rather surprised after I got on the board to find out that ALOT of the goths are in their 30's. It was very refreshing to find people that actually lived it instead of being a bunch of punk kids that were trying to piss off their christian parents.
