sorry, maybe i didn't make it very clear in my first post that i was against UNECESSARY testing. i don't like testing at all, but i realize it has to be done. i don't know a whole lot about the PETA organization, or them fabricating anything. but ophelia makes a valid point, it is all hearsay. i don;t know of any charges being brought on Iams, but maybe if enough people become upset over the accusations, it will encourage iams to confirm publicly that they are untrue. i don't know. it upset me, and i thought that other pet owners would want to know.

Makes sense.

i'm not really sure how to take that, but i'm sensing some extreme sarcasm in that post and if thats the case, i don't appreciate it. you don't know anything about me, especially to make a snap judgement like that. i wore my dads leather jascket as a child when i didn't know any better. i eat meat, sue me. i've not heard about the farm situations, but i don't doubt it. my point is that as a big, bad MODERATOR, maybe you should put a little more thought and consideration in your posts before you attack someone like that. its just a message/chat board. it shouldn't be taken seriously enough to criticize someone for simply expressing concern.

I did not mean to attack you personally, sorry if you took it that way. I didn't expect you to take it that way.I just said it for the sake of discussion. I was vegan for two years, and a vegetarian for longer. I am a bit opinionated about the stuff I realize. Anyways, I don't always think of how many ways people might take the things I say....because I know what I mean, and thats all that really matters to me. "Big bad" moderators are only human you must realize, and anyone that has been around here for longer than a few months realizes that they can't please or cater to everyone. I try to be an example, but I'm no role model.

I'm honest to a fault I suppose.

Again, I apologize that you took that wrong. It wasn't meant as an attack on you personally. I just don't understand the logic that cute animals suffer and uncute animals do not.

And some concern is better than none, so thanks.

apology accepted. i can even understand having what i say be misunderstood, i often just open my mouth and shit on the table. i think the filter between my brain and my mouth never fully developed.
