About the kissing thing, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I spent my New Years Eve about 150 miles away from my boyfriend. But he and I have had past bad history with New Years Eve. They say that who you spend it with is who you'll be with the rest of the year but we both had past experiences of otherwise so we didn't chance it and stayed APART on New Years Eve and he called me at midnight Eastern time (I was in Nashville). So, I didn't have anyone to kiss either and I was actually quite fine with that.
