Why do we do this to each other?

It's a cycle we've all been through, more times than we ever wanted to.... myself, twice in one month last year.

Shock, denial, pain (pain, pain), self-doubt, futile hope, excruciating acceptance, self realization, release… and it will probably happen again, but you'll be a better person for it.

As my friend Mazdak says, "women are like bicycles - fall off one, get right back up on another." I don't know if it applies for the other gender, but you get the idea.

Artwork, poetry and music have always helped me through it. You have my sympathy.

"I want to know where I failed, I want to know where I sinned, because I don't want to ever feel this way again…" - Melissa Etheridge

1 day of bubblebaths and booze.
1 day of pouting and porn.
1 day of TV and ice cream.

Seriously, though, take it easy for a few days. I hope you get over it quickly and as painlessly as possible.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Just keep in mind...the world is a huge place...with lots of people to meet.
For every heart ache comes another chance to be heart broken,
just like,For everyone you love there is another to love.

Recomendations to help get over it...
Pick up a new hobby.
Write the other person hate mail.
Kill the past significant other.
Bake cookies or bread and insert rasor blade bits into them, later give them to EX.
Make ex hot tea with a brown recluse or black widow stirred into it.
Stalk them and accuse them of stalking you.
Lay potatos out in the sun untill they become a nice bright green shade. Use the skins to make them twice baked potatos for the significant other and his /her family at a final fairwell party. (Mmmm Night Shade

Or just be glad of the good times that you did have with the past significant other for the next few days. Then kiss a stranger.

Whatever you choose to do...don't kill them. That part was a joke with hopes of cheering you up.
:D

Thanks. Unfortunately, I still care about him too much to kill him. But if there is anyone who is willing to kiss a girl on Sunday, I might just be willing to do that one.

Thanks JaNell! I am going to try to make it out more often to things since I can again. I let myself get caught up too much in him and what he did/didn't want to do. Half the time I didn't go to Sanctus because he decided he didn't like KG and I seemed to always be following behind him like a puppy. I really hope to have a chance now to really get to know you and others here that I have known but not known as well as I'd have liked to.

You know you like me better! Hehe...just kidding. I really don't want anyone choosing sides but I am loveable and huggable and gosh darn cute too!

Go music shopping, it's what I always do.

Or I like Arkady's idea, I've done that too, but it helps to be drunk.

I apparently rock on guitar when I'm drunk and crying. Who knew?

I just said I was cute, not that I had the power to make multitudes hot. Hehe. Just kidding. We shall see doll. Gotta get all sexied up for Sanctus too that night but we might just be able to do that.

Music shopping is a good idea but, to my embarrassment, Dashboard Confessional has been in my cd player since this happened and probably won't come out for a few more days. At that time it will be replaced by Pink (shut up again, I love her) who seems to motorvate me and give me my girl power vibe that I can usually rock pretty well until a stupid boy comes along like this one. So, music shopping will have to be saved until I go through my already known phases....once I do, something new will definitely be needed.
