I remember Bob Ross, he was the reason I never wanted to be an artist.

Mr. Rodgers always wore a differant sweater, which made me realize at a young age that pepole on TV made way more money than they were worth.

My 14 year old little sister called me today telling me about some new fad going on, and while I tried to pay attention, I now realize how annoying I was when explaining stuff to my older brothers. Besides the fact that I could barely follow along, with all of the "likes", "you know", "umms" and people's name that I had no idea who they were.

I think the first time the "growing old" realization hit me was about 12 years ago (Yikes!!!) when I was stationed at Fort Carson, CO. Some friends and I were downtown, hanging out in a coffee shop. These kids were outsided begging for change, and right about the same time we all mumbled something along the lines of "damn slackers, get a job." We looked at one another as our jaws dropped and realized we had all just become our dads.

Yeah, Mr. Rogers scared me, too.

No shit. I'm really sorry that you feel all old and used up at 18, Coor...
You're right, there IS no life after high school.

Oh, who am I kidding? High school sucked and I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life; my next birthday will be my fortieth and that doesn't make me old, although I might be middle-aged.
I saw Star Trek THE FIRST time it was on.
My mother was pregnant with me when Kennedy was asassinated - JOHN F. Kennedy.
I've experienced the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and still going. Life is rich and if the "Best Years Of Your Life" were high school or earlier you must be sitting on the couch with a remote too often...

It's not that I feel lod or used up, just that I'm getting older. But then again, I'm not one to care about age ;)

i loved the muppets, but fraggle rock was cooler! arse knows all about that. she's been down on fraggle rock ;) .............i mean down AT fraggle rock

I'm not old by any means, just right if you ask me, but going to the mall now and seeing all those little bopper folk lends painfull reminders of how much I miss homework and having my mum do laundry for me, being a teenager rocked, even though I was a meloncholy disaster

Ok you freaky, dark and spooky whippersnappers, stand back and let the 40 years young lady thru................"pokes youngin's with her walker"

HR Puffinstuff
The Buggalloos
Lidsville
Dr. Shrinker
Zoom
Electric Company
Starsky and Hutch
Swat
Barretta
Gunsmoke
THE Monkees
Marcus Welby MD
Gentle Ben
Barnaby Jones
The Streets of San Francisco

Oh, the list could go on and on and on and on........and I am not talking watching the reruns kids, but staying up late after chores and homework to watch them ('cept on Saturdays). I remember Fridays were Monkee nights and Wednesdays were the cop shows.

I remember only 3 channels (with rabbit ears and NOT counting PBS), Atari with PONG and the shooting gallery, AND 8 TRACK TAPES.

Ah the memories of youth. No responsibilites, just good and wholesome tv fun.

"wipes away a tear thinking about Davy Jones and the kid from Puffinstuff.............shuffles away"
