i ahve seen so many 80's movies it's not funny. although, growing up iin the 80's, it would be hard not to. the first movie that i can remember seeing was ET.

ii am a movie junkie. i love all kinds of films, from all different era's ranging from the first films done by the Lumiere Brothers in the 1890's to any movie that will debut up til the day i die. my all time favorite movie would have to be "gone with the wind" . but i do love 80's film. it is the last decade that films were still shot on film and not digital. cartoons were still hand-drawn.

one of my favorites is ''watcher in the woods." it was bette davis's movie, i believe. it was awesome.

Waxworks was fun, both of them. And, you can get both on one disc. I just saw them the other day at Disc Exchange on Kingston Pike and Best Buy for around 14.00. I don't think that they are in widescreen though, so I passed.

Any yes, Clockwork Orange is a 70's film. I was saying that Coor needed to be force fed 80's movies Clockwork Orange style - If you have seen the movie, you know what I mean -

Tht's 4 80's Films Diddy!

Oh no! You cannot include FMJ amongst these movies! I thought we were just talking trashy 80's films. There were as many
good films made during the 80's as any decade. I mean, as far as actual QUALITY 80's films:

Blade Runner
Alien
Wings of Desire
Last Temptation of Christ
Sid and Nancy
The Mission
Brazil...

Sorry, my inner movie geek runs rampant :-x

I merely listed FMJ as a favorite, not as cheese. It was FAR from it! Monophonic listed 'BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA"!!!!! God how could I forget that one??

Big
Burbs (89)
Cujo
The Fly
Transylvania 6-5000
976-Evil
Fright Night
Evil Dead 1 & 2 (1 was made in 79, but so what?)
Friday the 13th
Halloween
Night of the Demons
Sleepaway Camp
An American Werewolf in London
Children of the Corn
The Company of Wolves
Creepshow
Hellraiser
The Shining

Damn, guess I got on The Horror Movies of the 80's kick! :transform:
Why don't you go outside & play Hide-&-Go-Fuck-Yourself?

The 80's were an outstanding time for horror films. There were exceptions of course, but the 90's generally dropped the ball in this area. It's funny that the most fondly remembered films from the 80's seem to be in the comedy / horror genres.

Lots of good stuff happening outside the US during this time period too. La Femme Nikita, Wings of Desire, and The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover were already mentioned and are outstanding foreign films.
