Those kits are expensive though, from what I've heard. Still, I'd look slick in that baby!

Besides, if I ever get rid of this damn headache, I've got to polish those "Fuchin' Fuchs." That's going to take the rest of my life I think. 5 wheels, 3 types of sandpaper (320, 600, and 1200) and Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish. It's a good thing that type of work is therapeutic to me. I'd love to go do some work on them today but my back is still killing me.

Oh, and I got the police report back. There was a witness that told the police the light was green my way. Yay! Now to find out whether this chick had insurance or not.

Since it is now a state law that EVERYONE must carry at least liability, she's screwed whether she had ins. or not. If not, you could possibly own everything she has anda would think of having(depending how pissed and vindictive you are). There are many attorneys that will take a case and wait to receive their payment until you get your's.

Oh, I know...the issue for me right now is to find out if she has it and which company she's insured with. I just want to get things moving so I can have a car of my own again. I don't deal well with having to be dependent on anyone. I'm quirky that way.

My accident happened about 5:30 pm, on Thursday. In addition, this van hit me going 4o miles and hour, when I was at a dead stop needed. I hope you were all right! I feel like shit, and the person that was driving was in pretty damn bad shape. Turns out the person that hit us mixed hitting two other cars, and was trying to merge into traffic. By missing the two other cards, he did not see us at all. Thus, hitting us when we whereat a full stop. Throwing the car into a spin that crossed three other lanes of traffic, and put us smack dead in the middle of a busy intersection. Moreover, neither of the two front air bags deployed either. The person driving was driving a “Honda” civic. I had just bought this new used car, and have had it for less than three freaking months. Now, I owe money on a non existing car! This has been one fucked up week!

The turn key kits are about like $20 - 40 Grand depending on the options. A $40,000 turnkey is a sure nuff race car set up to run SCCA stuff though. The kit is like $20 painted, engine trans suspension brakes and extras will run about $15 and there is about 250+ woman hours of assembly time.

You gonna clear coat those wheels when you get them polished?

I'm in school at Tech, but spring bread is in like 2 weeks so I'll be in then. Wensday in 2 weeks?

That's crazy Tabris! Apparently Thursday sucked for both of us. I hope you're feeling okay as well (or will be soon)!

Hopefully the other driver's insurance company will pay off the remaining debt on your car so you won't have to pay on it. Starting from scratch sucks, but it's better than starting behind I suppose. I am not usually a vindictive person hell bent on suing people, but if I had grounds to do it, I'd own everything this girl has. In the 2 seconds it took for her to run that red light and the wreck to happen, she set me back 5 years financially. I'm sure you're feeling the same way. Best of luck to you and glad that you're injuries weren't serious!

Wenol Blue is REALLY good Al polish, and there is this stuff called Zoop thats in the newest StreetRodder. I've got a boat friend that swears by it for his stuff.

You can take the clear coat off if you want to repolish the wheels. I don't hink I could do all that work and not clear coat them.

Like when I was smithing a lot the class was studing 'patination' and we had to let something get a 'natural patina' on it.

Yeah so I work on this coatrack then left it outside for a coulpe days and sprayed it with saltwater. Yep patination is a big fancy term for letting metal rust or oxidize. I polished it and polished it with Johnsons Floor Paste and it was a bueatilf rich brown, but it still looked rusty so I scraped it off and refinished it with bee's wax (a natural clear coat at least for hot metal).
