I say they should do the Wheel of Time series. They'd have to make Jordan finish the damn thing first, though. The Harry Potter franchise may be able to get away with filming movies before the series is done, but they'd have to do WoT in the same fashion as they did LotR I think - shoot it all at once. It'd still be a project 4 times the size of LotR (at least).

Johnny Mnemonic was a good movie.
It was an insult to Gibson's short story, of course, but it was a good movie if you ignore its literary counterpart and watch it as a B-movie action / sci-fi flick.

Brave New World!
Could you imagine drifting away at the "feelies"? Envision the recreational promiscuity of a hedonistic society.("Promiscuity is a citizen's duty. Everyone belongs to everyone else."). The omnious smoke crawling out of the "death towers". The neverending happiness of Soma.. Also, one must not forget the vision of the millions of "test tube" clones being created in the lab.
I think this book has always been given less popular credit than it deserved. Though the issues of the drug Soma and the worship of the god "Ford" would probably make it highly controversial. It's a highly imaginative science fiction novel with an underlying social commentary.
There have only been a couple of made for TV adaptations of this book according to IMDB. Is anyone else familiar with this book?

^^ Yes, yes, yes! That's my favorite book of all time! Someone really needs to put that story on film. It is my dream to make a Brave New World movie. Hell, thats one of the reasons I'm a film student.

Best of luck on that, Russo. I can't wait until someone, anyone, makes a stab at it.. a decent one atleast.
Hell, fetish, let's make movies of all of Anne Rice's books! lol They're all certainly better than the usual crap running at the theatre on your average Saturday night. (Psstt, I'll get back to you on Yahoo soon.)

A live action Eva movie is in development right now. It's being written by one of the cofounder's of ADV. This is supposed to be a big budget movie and they are attempting to make look as realistic as possible. So it maybe good. at least for their sake's it better.

Clive Barker's The Theif of Always would be amazing if it was done right. Also Poppy Brite's Lost Souls would be great as well. I'd go with Burton for the Barker film, and possibly Alex Proyas(The Crow) for the Brite film. But I doubt hollywood would do these two cool books as movies.
