Very good movie....loved it....
BUT I could well have done without the Frankenstein's Monster-esque breaking of the shackles that vader did off the operation table....

A great movie that was! I enjoyed the Hell outta this one, definitely the best of the newer SW films, and one of the best of all, period. I enjoyed the Yoda bitch smack! LOL Great fight scenes, and excellent script. Darth Vader seems to have a good reason for turning to the darkside but gets too far into it that it completely changes him. Five outta five stars! Go see it!

I haven't laughed so hard in a movie since Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...Sad. This was not the movie I was searching for.
A couple of the many zingers:
"Hold me Anankin, hold me like you did on the shores of Lake Naboo!"
"Nooooooooooooooo!!!"
"Khaaaaannn!"
Also:
They could not have gotten that cloak over Sideous soon enough - He looked like a raging old queen. One who had just desposed of his aging lover in for a younger one?
Wookies were a complete waste of time.
Vader was done a dis-service...Now I can't get this image of a whiney, moody Vader out of my head. <Sigh.> <Staples hand to his helmet.>
The final fight had to be ended quickly to avoid any Monty Python and the Holy Grail comments from the audience.
Grand Moff Tarkin, meet Lord Vader. "Hmmmm...I thought you would be taller...Nevermind."

SPOILERS, AHOY!
I did not wait an hour in line just to see about 15 seconds of vader, most of which were him going "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I hate Hayden Christiansen.
Seeing Palpatine do that crazy-old-mannish "no, No No No!" thing made me laugh my ass off.

I don't think Lucas could have done much better. Seeing it on a 60 foot tall IMAX screen rocked more than words can describe.
I have to admit, this is now my favorite film out of the entire saga.

Easter Eggs in Episode III
My friend Bonnie Burton works at Lucas Films. She says: "We just posted a great "Easter Eggs in Episode III" article on starwars.com, if you want to check out all the cool stuff we point out that people may have missed when they saw the film:"
Did you spot the Millennium Falcon in Revenge of the Sith? What about the kitchen sink or the only noted the Wilhelm scream? Or perhaps you were too busy watching Hayden Christensen that you didn't notice George Lucas' rare cameo? Here's an article that lists many of the hidden tidbits in the last Star Wars film - Revenge of the Sith.

I now have this one on DVD. It is the pirated copy that George Lucas didn't want you to see, and the quality is excellent. So for the ones who want it....HAHAHA!

Just about everyone on this board has it already, and it's not that hard to get. So I'd hold on to those "HAHAHA"s.

For years we've speculated what it might be like for the first generation of Star Wars fans who watch the saga "in order"... Episode I, II, III then IV, V and VI. For me, speculation became observation as my barely-7-year-old son watched A New Hope after having seen ROTS twice. My boy is very knowledgable about the prequels, but hasn't seen ANH since he was four. For all intents and purposes, this was like a "first viewing" for him.
Here is a selection of his many, many questions... none of which I had when I saw ANH at the age of six...
- after recognizing the Tantive IV corridore, "Hey, they didn't have all those people in there before. Where did they get them."
- later in that same scene, "Are the Republic troops clones too? They all look the same?" (Of course, by Republic troops he meant what we've always called Rebels. But being on an Alderaan ship... who is correct?)
- "Wow! Is the Death Star done already? I guess that's how you know that a long time has passed."
- "Look... Obi-Wan is pretending he doesn't know R2-D2." (see Hole/No-hole: Why doesn't Obi-Wan remember R2? )
- in Ben's hut: "Where is Qui-Gon? I thought Obi-Wan was supposed to be training with him?"
- as C-3PO throws a Jawa body on the pile... "Do you think that R2-D2 started that fire with his jet rockets?"
- "How can the Emperor dissolve the Senate? Didn't he destroy it trying to kill Yoda?"
- "Is Chewbacca the only Wookiee that survives the Clone Wars?" (with great concern)
- "Why don't those ships need Hyperspace rings?"
- "So, does this mean that R2-D2 is really the main character in Star Wars?"
- and finally, though not prequel-provoked, "Why are red leader and gold leader the leaders? They don't know what they're doing..."
These are all making me think. What a blast seeing Star Wars with fresh eyes. Stay tuned for a report when we screen "The Empire Strikes Back".

Obi-Wan says that he doesn't remember "owning any droids". It appears that he does recognize him. Pay attention to how he looks at R2 in ANH.....
Qui-Gon = ghost that only Yoda and Ben can see. Ben's training with him (how to evaporate straight into the force as a ghost) is most likely complete by that time in ANH.....
If you look closely, you can see R2 spraying something on the fire to likely keep it burning.....
Palpatine may have destroyed the Senate interior, but the Senate is made of individuals. He dissolves the remaining Senators from their duties after he no longer needs them....
Chewbacca is the only Wookie we see. That doesn't mean he is the only one. Remember that the Empire enslaves the Wookies. I believe that is what they are starting to do when you see the clones checking for Yoda. You can see that the Wookie villages in the trees are now on fire. Then you hear a clone trooper say, "All these Wookies are dead, more to the east." They are gathering whatever Wookies they can find to enslave them.....
ROTS happened nearly twenty years before ANH. Technology has advanced so that small snub fighters now have their own hyper-drives. They now longer need thos hyper-drive rings....
Oh yeah, did I mention that I am a
huge Star Wars freak?
And, have far too much free time at work......
