This is a VERY interesting topic.

My family had to send my step-grandmother to Moccasin Bend. I have never seen Lakeshore, but would like to check it out sometime! And, I would like to re-visit Moccasin Bend sometime, I was a kid when my step-grandmother was put there, so I don't remember much.

My father was in and out of mental instituions in Nashville. Not that he wasn't/isn't crazy enough to be there anyway, but the reason he would check himself in and out alot was to avoid paying child support to my mother. Sheesh.

As for the prison thing, that brought up a memory from when I was in high school. I was in alternative school, from getting into too much trouble, and they made us go on this field trip to some prison for minors. Minors that had savagely murdered people and shit.

Of course, us few chicks got taunted and stuff. They made us go sit in the cells, and locked us up to see how it would feel. Blah, I wasn't bothered by all that. What bothered me was the tales some of those kids had to tell.

One guy, was fucked on acid, and murdered his 3 year old little brother. He described it in detail, or the way he remembered it, then the way he was told it all happened. Another guy had a girlfriend and kid living with him, and their baby (INFANT, no less) wouldn't stop crying, so he picked it up by its feet and swung it into the wall over and over. The fucker had no remorse either. Sick fuck. Ugh. That shit will always stay with me.

My uncle is on death row in Raiford, FL. Once when one of my aunts and uncles went to visit him, he was in the cafeteria (where they would have visits, with heavily armed guards) talking to this guy. My aunt and uncle went and talked to both of them for a few moments, and finally sat at a table. My uncle was like, you know that guy that was with me, that you just talked to? That was Ted Bundy. Sheesh. Now, he was one FUCKED individual!
