well, first you piss off a geek. then they write some code, code that discovers your IP address (i'm not going into detail on how to do this as THEY might be reading this). then said geek does some detective work and figures out what city/state/country that IP belongs to.
then they read all of your posts, and run them through google. if you're online a lot, they'll find things. remember, while you might get your kicks out of getting 8 to 10 hours of sleep at night, your average angsty geek lives and breathes caffiene. they can go weeks at a time without sleep, and only suffer mild hallucinations - most of which they experience anyway.
sometimes the things they find lead to discovering your real name, address, and/or phone #, all of which can further lead to them finding out even more about you.
then, depending on how desperate / insane the person is, they either dismiss you as too much gas money to waste on, or follow you everywhere and eventually kill and eat your favorite chia pet, or maybe just sacrifice your first born to heathen gods a talentless writer developed and published a series about during a 'dry phase'.
of course, if it's a geek with a sense of humor, they'll just wait until you're on vacation, tie a decapitated barbie doll to a bag of shit, place it on your bed, and set it on fire.
