Had a wonderful time! Brought someone new, who also enjoyed himself. The music was good, the coversation was interesting and everyone seemed to be having a ball.
And quite frankly, from what I could tell, both the guys who were there with us LOVED what was going on in the shadowbox!

i wasnt there so i didnt get to see it, but if you liked it , then it was most likely Tease-a-rama or Veriatease both by irving claw - featuring bettie page - this is just my educated guess - and yes both can be found with out too much trouble

I misread that as "vomit and pubic places" and then i was all like, "but vomit and pubic places are like dinosaurs and jet skates! it's a winning combination!"

Jack,
Sorry I didn't get to "The Passenger".
I Love it, but I lost track of time, then my set was over.
You KNOW that I have played it, and will again.
Sorry that Our efforts didn't live up to your hopes, but Dammit I tried.
In my first set, I played two semi-standards, and they were the only two songs that had more than 6 people on the floor.
I'll take another swing next month.

Shadowboxes were funny if nothing else; and if anyone goes out to see some attention-starved ho's behind the screen and on the dance floor (when only the PORN music is playing, f*ck forbid people would dance to high energy dance music... subject to change, let's hope) I recommend Mouse's Ear west, or South (if you are much more hardcore than the rest of us.) And if you really want to get your money's worth and have a traumatic memories for the rest of your life, ccome to my neighborhood, the Carousel II awaits you.
I personally had a good time... Thanks to Xi for accepting my "Nazi Techno" compilation and playing some stuff that isn't 25 years old.
"SHUT UP AND DANCE!" - Loretta's Doll.

I guess Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and Genitorturers aren't high energy enough for ya eh, this wasn't a techno night

Wasn't there for 242, and I'm talking about high-energy music of any sort above 80bpm if you'd like to split hairs. Also, most modern EBM is very high-energy and fast, but I guess it's all "techno" to you. Most people that overuse terms are the ones that don't have any clue about the difference. And there is nothing wrong with some aggressive Dn'B even, if it gets bodies moving.

Ooooh, let's start getting release dates out, have a copyright Jeopardy! My point - enough "most horrible of 80's" collections, time to move on into the present, at least to the last decade. The joke's on you.

I had more fun than I've had a Sanctus than I've had in a long time. The music was good. i especially liek that Dresden Dolls got played! I know my friend Tommy who was in from out of town had a great time! As did Butch, who is hoping to make a trip to Knoxville again soon. As for the naysayers, try going to a mainstream club on Friday night sometime. You'll be amazed how your appreciation of sanctus increases!

I had a fucking blast. Music was fine. I even got up and "danced" a few times. But for most of the night I was just having some great drunken conversation, enjoying plenty of fun music, throwing back booze, and appreciating all of the lovely ladies that are kind enough to grace us with their presence - You know, all of those other things that you go to a club for...
Seriously, I had a lot of fun. Let's do it again sometime. How about next month?

How About Sunday January 15th?
Seriously, next day is MLK day so no UT classes, Knox County Schools will be closed, and those lucky enough to work on Goverment/Bank scheduals will be off too.
See you all then!

Hey, your first two songs being underplayed Nitzer Ebb and Front 242 songs was a Good Thing. It gave me highschool flashbacks, in a good way.

Thanks to Bone for playing Disturbed's remake of "Land of Confusion" by Genisis and thanks to Michael Xi for playing Olivia Newton John's remake of "Magic" by Stimulator.
I so need that album!
I had a good time, even though I had to cut out early, due to work the next morning. My opinion on the shadowbox antics.........yuck. I think it was in poor taste. That is my opinion.
