I knew Vadim for close to 10 years or so. He did always make things more interesting, and yes he was a very great guy(unless you had managed to get on his badside). Unfortunately, like many ,he did had a bad drug habit. That was the very first question that I asked when I got the call that he had passed from this world..."Was it a drug overdose?" But instead of thinking of all the bad things about Vadim and his last fews years of life, I prefer to remember his early days.... The first time I ever met Vadim was in Market Square, outside of the Mercury. He was talking to Frank Dajcar and I had this little pearl handled plastic gun stuck in the back of my skirt. So I walked over to Frank( and anybody that knows Franks surely remembers how paranoid he is  ) and I pulled out the fake gun and stuck it into his back and said "Blam!Your dead!" And of course Frank freaked out but Vadim about busted a nut laughing and we instantly hit it off as friends...And later on that night he ended up chasing me around Market Sqaure with one of the Gigantoid Coachroaches that are always crawling around the Sqaure....Yucky!

Ahh! the early days of listening to his stories about his "Big Red Cock".I finally had to ask him....Vadim, why is it red?"

Can anyone guess his response?

"Becauze eat's alwayz reddy to FOCK!"(End Russian accent now)

We had some good times and he will definatley be missed.

Here's to Vadim. I wish I could have made it to the services.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend. I am glad his family had the kind of service he would have wanted. Badkitty, your post hits the nail on the head. Vadim had one of the funniest senses of humor of anyone I've ever known. He will be missed.

Like I said before, I didnt know him well except from Cup 'A' Joe, my favorite hang out for years and years. A few times we sat and talked about music and I listened to some of his stuff......... really good. Its funny though, as I said earlier in this post...... for someone that I really didnt know well, I thought of him last week for a music project that I would like to explore..... and he came to mind. I do have that little article they posted about him somewhere..... and I kept it, as we all do when someone we know ends up in the paper or something......... dont know if he was a 'good guy' or a 'bad guy'....... but its always sad to see someone pass that was a part of the 'underground' or 'alternative' movement here in our little world known as Knoxvegas........ hope you fuckers that are old remember me when I croak!...... and you better show up @ the funeral or ill put a fucking spell on your ass!

I have a little more information for those individuals that knew and cared for Vadim. The toxicalogy test results showed no signs of any drugs in his system, so they have ruled out a drug overdose. The autopsy results won't be back in for about 8 more weeks or so. So right now all they have to go on are some speculations and unusual events.

But there is something else that I need to ask about....Is their anyone going to Detroit anytime soon? Vadim's girlfriend, Maury, needs a ride back to Detroit to get the rest of their stuff and resolve a few things. I was told that Vadim's mother is willing to pay for the gas to get Maury there and back. So if anyone would like to help her out with that please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.

After many moons of being absent from this board...I find this horrible news.

My favourite memory of him was one night outside of the Merc. I was standing outside smoking a cigarette and he walked up to me and said quite frankly, "I like you Josh, The thing about Scottish people...Is that us Russians are not much different."
When I asked him why, his response was," We both hate the English!!" and juast laughed whilst walking away.

I will miss him though I hadn't heard from him in MANY years.

His Music Still Lives On

A long time ago (about a year now) a post was made urging people to check out his music & websites.
I again urge anyone who cared for him or knew him to check it out & help keep what he worked so hard for alive.
He had too much talent for his music to be lost to this world along
with him.Mari is currently putting the finishing touches on his last album & it should be ready soon.
