Not sure if you are referring to the So Long Scarecrow album or the Staring To The Sun EP, but I like them both quite a bit. I've been keeping So Long Scarecrow in my car mix for about half a year.

Melvins - A Live History of Gluttony and Lust - Houdini Live. Heaviest album I've purchased in recent memory. may be better than the studio release of Houdini!

OoO, I was wondering about that. I'm a big fan of that album. I saw the live cd and wasn't sure if I should buy it or not. I will definitely pick it up if somebody is saying that it's better than the original album.

I waited a while too. I love me some Melvins, but they have been known to throw a curveball or two (anyone pick up Snivlem - Prick for instance?). This is "pseudo live" or live in the studio sans audience. The songs are all larger than the studio version, a bit more raw of course, and as I said before, heavy as hell.

I see them live every chance I get. Sadly no SE tour dates in 05 or 06, so hopefully we'll see them back in Nashville next year.

cureballs? oh yea. let us not forget colossus of destiny.
60 mins of feedback staring adam jones from tool.
stolen from the wiki
"Colossus Of Destiny is an album by The Melvins, which was released in 2001 through Ipecac Recordings. Recorded live Friday, December 13, 1998 at Club Mangler, Cupertino, California. This is an hour of synthesizer and sample experimentation ending in a performance of the song "Eye Flys". It was reported that members of the audience were lying on the ground, covering their ears during this performance.."

I definitely know what you mean about Prick. I think that is the closest I have ever gotten to using Disc Exchange's return policy.
