What are you listening to right now?

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

The entire CD "Ashes, Ashes ..." by Leiahdorus!

This CD rocks ... it's electronic, but has lots of neat piano and melodic things in it too. It most closely reminds me of bands like Tears for Fears, not just the music but the vocals as well. Track 2, "Wake", is just so hauntingly sad and beautiful ... it's beyond words.

I got this one for christmas and I love it.

Help me identify this piece

Post by Scorptrio »

The Wachowski brothers put together some great music for The Matrix movie trilogy, the Animatrix and the Enter the Matrix video game. A lot more was used or created than made it onto the soundtracks. The piece I've linked to below appears in two fighting scenes in Enter the Matrix (as Niobe fights Vlad the vampire in the Chateau.) It also leads off the credits of the game, with a segue into Evanescence "Going Under." I don't know if it's an outside band they liked and so included in their work (ala Rob Dougan's "Clubbed To Death") if it was an outside band's work specifically for The Matrix movies (like "Furious Angels") or if it was created in-house for the game (like the Don Davis scores.)

I was thinking that you DJs are the best hope for identifying it. Bone? Arkady? If anyone knows what this clip is from - which song, artist or album, let me know please. I like its energy and it makes Mercury Griffon dance.

You might want to right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As..." It's 1.4 MB long.

Thanks!

Evanescence, Switchblade Symphony, and a sensual mix copied from Ms. Shadow Dancer. ( Thanks again hun!)
