this brings to mind an interesting question... quite a few of us have adorable children..... should we get them into pictures as well....or (so there wouldn't be racy adult pics mixed with innocent kids) perhaps do a "gothic" kids calendar? I have a January baby myself.

What does any one else think of this?

Ok, so I think we have everything we need then. tat2jay if you are sure you can handle it, I'll leave the main photography work up to you. We'll set up a schedule and figure out how to get started. As for adding kids, I think it would probably be a good idea to keep it seperate, simply because there may be some racy photos and I wouldn't want to mix them in. The model releases would be fantastic also.

I do think a seperate calendar would be a good idea for the kiddies.

Since now is when things will start picking up for everyone, for the holidays, what do you think about getting down to business right after the first of the year. By then I should be settled in to my new job and all, and things should be calm. If it all works out, we could have it together in time for tax returns!

i think thats a good idea, but i also think its a good idea to do some pre-planning now, so that when the time comes we will be ready to shoot and get rolling with out much delay
things we may want to consider at this time: who is going to be in it, how is it going to be layed out and the types of settings and backgrounds/props/misc. stuffs are we going to need for each photo shoot
hmmmmm
now that i think about it
as far as selection we *could* go hawaiian tropic style by having a ms knoxgothic series of events (maybe at temple) to select the lucky ladies? (just a thought)

tat2jay...ummm....well though I think that could be entertaining, the calendar is open to any adult female who wants to pose. I don't want it to be another contest. This one's not about the most beautiful goth. If they show and sign the release, then they're in. Thanks for the idea though.

As to the layout...a collage based on the birth month of each lady.

Of course, this is the first callendar. Later on, there's always a possibility of doing another with a contest. Who knows?? But for this one, I don't want it to be based on who looks the best in a corset. That's not why I had the idea.

As to props and scenery...I'd say keep it basic, but maybe for the months that have our fave holidays...throw in a hint from those. (halloween, nightmare before christmas, maybe a gothic valentines day) and of course, the are just ideas too.

And now that I've spouted all my stuff...do you have any ideas for props, scenery, all that??

I am somewhat obsessed with Libras being a late september baby and all. Maybe a kinda dark zodiac theme would be neat?

starting on a calander after the new year gives plenty of time for photoshoots and re-shoots then design and layout then printing and distribution for the next year

this would be a 2005 calander, no doubt

as far as women only, hmm good question, are there enough guys willing and attractive enough to use in the calander?
who would you suggest?

maybe you should do a seperate calander for the guys
i know alot of people that ignore calanders with guys, photoshoots with guys, ect.
im saying maybe think in terms of two? just a thought.

Ok, so what I'm seeing is that everyone likes the idea of a women's calendar, but we do have some interest in a men's calendar. So yeah, we could potentially do two. Or come to think of it, since we've already had two people mention that they have a few midgets, there might possibly be three calendars in the works.

tat2jay, would you be willing to stick around for that long?? If we can drum up the interest, then I don't see why we couldn't do one for each! I'm not opposed to it. The original idea came up for a women's calendar, at the coffee shop, just as a joke. But everyone seemed to like it so much, that I started this thread to see what kind of response there was. If we have equal response for the others and people are willing to put in the time, I'm willing to do it.
Keep the same format as what we've discussed for the women's...based on b'days...and allow whoever shows to be in it??? as long as they sign a release?

Oh and Uncle Goth, thanks for the offer. I'll keep that in mind, if we need any help.
