you only get to vote once, and you must be logged in to vote.

you can't vote as a guest - or at least it's not supposed to let you.

add the main forums to your favorites. it won't let you see the "new / old" indicator, but it will let you skip the front page, which in turn saves bandwidth for both parties. :D

general
dumpster
upcoming events

and so on. just drag their links to your favorites bar, in whatever form or fashion your browser might have. heck, at home, i have a drop-down menu of the forums within my favorites.

because i'm just that geeky.

or...

when you get to the bottom to go back to the top hit the 'Home' Key

"When you get to the bottom
you go back to the top
of the slide
then you stop and you turn
and you go for a ride
then you'll see me again"

or something.

Chatt issues

Post by BearDragonLady »

when MD and I have tried to get in to chatt from work, we get a white screen with server time at the bottom.
When we login we get the following message:

A TCP Error has occured.
While attempting to retrieve the requested URL, the system detected a TCP Error. This may be due to a high volume of network traffic or temporary network problems. Please attempt to access the desired URL again.

Yet it logs me in and sends pm's anyway...

wtf???

Yeah! What she said! However, I would like to mention that the Nashville board which uses the same software works just fine. Thought I would add that. HELP!

I get:
This connection was refused when attempting to connect to http://www.knoxgothic.com

I get it on chat and on the board, and I get it quite often. Any ideas?

I got those same messages, but it was over the weekend.
I figured that Vader was doing some upgrades, rebooting, or something.
Of course, soon after those messages, the chat count was correct.
Maybe he was just doing more maintenance.

Are you browsing the forum on more than one computer? I've seen it break sometimes when I do that.

ok. that almost makes sense. I'm seeing really high traffic right now.

All I can say is try again later - if it's still doing that at 2am, I'll probably want to stop by your place and see if I can find out any more...
