I just finsished Resident Evil 4, and I swear to God in 24 years of gaming it was one of the most fun experiences I ever had. And I'm not even a big RE fan.

Same here. I'm so very glad they ditched the "human tank" controls.

I may or may not be working on my own video game. I say that because I'm still installing postgresql for the game's server, and I might get sidetracked before I'm done. Not to mention, after I've built a game world, I might decide to say fuck everyone else, I'm playing in my sandbox alone. That, or turn it into the most resource hogging message board known to man. :D

If I get around to finishing it, it will include lots of :iblislink:'s. In fact, I might make it so that you have to fight :iblislink:'s to stop them from taking over the world.

I thought about doing it in Flash, but there are some spiffy open sourced OpenGL graphics engines out there, and the client programs seem to run decently on OS X, Linux, and Winders.

The Matrix Online public launch is underway. If you are not playing, you are missing the best MMPORPG ever written. Late night raves at S&M clubs... complete with simulated sex acts... rockin' to the tunes on Radio Free Zion... spend all day killing evil mofos in the streets and being an evil mofo all night in the clubs!

The last day of the Sneak Preview they ran an Armageddon theme. I had friends over and had to apologize “I wanted to show you the usual – going on missions, teaming up, hunting exiles, socializing and trading – but, you came on judgment day!â€

I'm pretty much just waiting for Battlefield 2 to come out. I know it'll probably cause me to do major upgrades to my computer, but I really really want to play it. The screenshots available so far look pretty good. I might even buy a flight joystick for helicopter combat. Although, I do fairly good in BF:Vietnam with keyboard and mouse while flying.

Playing it for the past week! I really like the animations. Good stuff - fairly hard learning curve for those who aren't really into games.

Gothic Vampires and Werewolves attack in The Matrix

Last week, from April 22 - 26, 2005 another major event shook the streets of The Matrix Online. Nightfall descended upon The Matrix: Mega City. This is what happened:

Image

Friday:

Darkness began to fall on the Mega City, as the wolfish Lupines and vampiric Blood-drinkers began a vicious attack on citizens and redpills alike. Brave members of every Organization fought off the first wave, which consisted of the strongest members of the two Exile races. The streets in Achan and Sobra Shores were especially dangerous, as bodies began to pile up in dark alleyways there. Where had these Exiles come from? Why were they there? No one seems to know....

You know, no game will ever be better than NetHack. I think the longest I've ever been "tired" of it in 10 years is maybe six months. I feel confident saying it's the best game ever created. (Though, honestly, I couldn't see playing it quite as much without the tile graphics. I just would hate to always be going "Wait, is a purple "h" a Dwarf King or a Mind Flayer?" )

The Matrix Online Team is pleased to announce the Friends & Family Trial Program that will take place from May 20th-29th, 2005 during the next major live event, "The Hunt for Morpheus." On Thursday, May 12th all current subscribers to The Matrix Online will be e-mailed 3 trial keys and a game client download link. Each of these keys will allow a non-subscriber guest to sign-up and play the game during this live event.

Full Details at:

http://thematrixonline.warnerbros.com/n ... 50605.html

Yes, my beloved KG family, your brother Scorptrio is in possession of 12 Matrix Online account keys. Five of them are spoken for but seven can be had for a smile. You will need a pretty phat system to run the game and a broadband connection for the many gigabyte install download, but if you are ready to take the Red Pill for a free trial, PM, IM or EM me and will meet at the Erie Street Bridge and take a ride to the Heart o’ the City Hotel.

For those of you who do not have a Windows PC capable of running the game –cough-Bone-cough- then please contact me and come visit and play on my systems (up to two at a time on the same server.) Those interested in an MxO LAN party also inquire, as I can host several machines at my location on a full T1 line.

// EVENT DETAILS ///

Morpheus, the once-beloved Zion visionary leader, takes center stage in "The Hunt for Morpheus" event. Continuing to pursue the haunting question "Why won't they give up his remains?" Morpheus resorts to drastic measures to persuade the Machines to return Neo's body to the people of Zion. The fragile truce between the Machines and the people of Zion begins to shred under this added strain, and the Merovingian takes advantage of their distraction, intensifying his efforts to expand the Exiles' power base. Tensions run high on all sides, and Morpheus becomes the focus of the chaos to ensue.
