I don't know precisely what you mean by the term, "power points," but the Tan Tien [sp] (that is, the "sea of chi") is located below the belly button. However, it's used in quite a few different Taoist and/or Buddhist methods meditation - not certain about Yoga though, as I've never taken it. A number of methods of meditation that I practice incorporate this nifty little spot.

Note: Before anyone takes this as a pro-anal comment, I do think it'd be easier just to meditate if you want to build / work with chi. Okay, perhaps not as fun, but much more simple.

i know exactly what your talking about and it actually exists in a few areas of interest...
power points is a slang term for a theory on psychic power and astral shit. one of them matches the general area of the Tan Tien {spelling?}........ which is strange in its own regard because i met so few that knows what that is anyway. i am very apt to forget its title myself. this head only holds so much space........
i want to find a way to tie the elements to prove some theories of my own anyway, if i ever get to it ill make an offshoot for anal because of the location of other shit and it will be damn funny.

if you look any alex grey art you will notice alot of his figures have glowing areas around major joint and nerve locations. my slang term of power points.. those would be the articles in question........
also other discilpines of study claim that the central point of energy is in the chest, and ive never known which to believe fully because ive seen some amazing shit done with both said locations.
oh well. research is fun. and yoga.. i own the gita and some of the art does have shit in that area but ive never read anything on it claiming or disclaiming it... id need texts more aimed at yoga.

the sci-fi type world in which you speak we would be in now if not for the government. give it another 30 years or so. bear in mind that troops in nam had backback Xray units. documented and all that. imagine the technology we will be allowed in 30 years.

and as for the prehensile tail... damn not soon enough because you with a tail and fangs would be the scariest image ive ever seen......
