You know what I think is silly, though, is the notion that "everyone is beautiful". Sure, everyone is beautiful to someone, probably, but I mean, come on - this is getting just too damn PC for me. There are some girls in the scene I think are attractive, and some I don't. Let's cut the "we're all beautiful" crap before it becomes a support group. You can't say everyone is beautiful without also saying everyone is ugly. Some girls have told me I'm ugly, and some have told me I'm not. That's how the world works. It shouldn't bother anyone.

Then again, I'm in a longtime relationship, so I'm a lot less concerned about what anyone thinks of my looks except for Cathy, ultimately. I know you single people have it harder.

But seriously, saying we're all beautiful is about as stupid as saying we're all smart. :D

Then you run into defention problems. Beauty is subective...that's true. But then does that mean everyone is beautiful because someone is beautiful to someone, or nobody is beautiful because if beauty is subjetive then it is not real because it has no base defention.

*one swallow of orange crush Jones Soda*

To me there is a defenite sense of beauty in everyone. For me that's more true for women since I hold that women are the most atractive of the species. Again that's just me. Why do I hold that? When it comes to aesthetics I believe in variety. Put "one" in front of anything and it is not good enough. Being atracted to one body type, one hair color, one face type, just seems too limiting.

Either that or it's go to "there is no such thing as beauty because beauty is subjective therefore nothing is beautiful". and honestly I've lived too long to believe that.

Looks around furtively...

I, um, I agree with Jack. Really. And drop dead gorgeous in person does not equal photogenic. It's not going to hurt my feelings at all to be skipped over for the calender - I'm not photogenic, I'm overweight, and I'm almost 39 - no illusions here. Most of my appeal is personality, anyway.

<shrug>

I know a few people have been hurt because they weren't on the wishlist for the men's calender - well, I was choosing people who I knew were, or think are, photogenic. Period.

I might as well offend even more people by saying that the following women are highly photogenic IMO (and before people get their butt floss in a wad, I don't know all of you and I certainly haven't taken pictures of all of you):

Buttercup
Fink
Redderin
Shadow Dancer
Lady Ivanna
Lady Shaper
Ophelia

And I'm sure I've forgotten some, but that's life.

My opinion for what it's worth on the open market.

From the point of view of a non artistic dodo head, I think you are more photogenic than you give yourself credit for (and either way beautiful, inside and out)

sorry, that sounds like im sucking up, but im not.

Honestly I think we're getting away from the whole idea. It's a KnoxGothic calendar, we're a diverse bunch of people, yes we have our own ideals and ideas of how and why the world works but for the most part we do try and get along. The whole idea is to have fun, and whether to be serious or silly, who cares as long as we do have fun with it.

well, like i mentioned before, i am willing to help out. i have a digiatl camera, many different photoediting software, a color printer and a flat bed scanner. plus, i have a one eared cat (actually, she has a broken ear, but she looks like she only has one ear). she is cute...

but, i can help with stuffs. and im sure if needed, i can help with printing too.

just let me know. and if you want me in the calendar you might want to rethink that notion.

*Sigh*

Everytime I talk about beautiful women things go wrong. Oh woe for my eyes, woe for my eyes. To Grasp the Pain of love and Art....

*Duct tapes hand to forhead.*

*peeking through fingers*

That didn't scan did it? Damn. Anyway maybe we're jumping the gun a bit here, or at least I did. Are there any defenite plans for any sort of pin up? I heard the announcement at Sanctus and thought cool go for it...Maybe should of waited for a more defenite message.

Naah, not that bad yet. That was just written for dramatic effect. The worst I've done is use a few pics for screen wallpaper.

Besides all that pasting takes up too much time. Being perverted takes just too much effort for my tastes.

i feel that this is rather dangerous ground to post anything of a serious nature.

so, if you're wondering why i'm skirting the topic as if it were ice on a sidewalk, it's because i am absolutely certain that my opinions on the subject would offend at least 5 people, and possibly hurt people's feelings in more ways than i could possibly fathom.

that said, i'm still going for a bull's eye. Image

i think that the entire concept (for the men, or women, or whatever) is just plain silly.

great cause, good idea, lot's of talent involved and i don't doubt there's a lot of thought put into it as well. however, as with every great endeavor, the problem really lies within - you guessed it! - the people.

if everyone involved could manage to stop taking anything about this seriously, i think it'd go over like ice cream on a summer afternoon.

in light of this, X. is definitely my hero. like, one of those piss-my-pants funny heros. you should do stand-up - but only if you're wearing a bikini.

there, i did it.

my $0.02 is now on the table. it's all i had to my name, so i refuse to pay your psychiatric bills. :D

You know, I tried to get this one dumpstered a while back, by talking about how tasty parts of my anatomy can be, but they just separated the wheat from the jism as they say. . . and the rest is history. . .
