• New French tanks in the works...

The french are so worried about the war with Iraq that they are engineering new tanks... The distinguishing characteristic of these new french tanks is a six speed transmission... Five gears in reverse and one forward in case they get attacked from behind.... :lol:

I know, I know, it was bad but I thought it was funny as hell when I heard it...

Well that is better than that 80's classic. The Russian tank that had three gears forward and three in reverse. However the Rusian tank still has the edge in that those gears were in separate gear boxes attached to SEPARATE ENGINES! . Yes, to go in reverse you had to turn off the forward engine and start up the reverse engine. This, combined with the fuel tanks on the front of the tank OUTSIDE the armour and the shell magazine on the rear of the tank OUTSIDE the armour, make this my hands down favorite for the worst tank design ever.
