I am a big fan of the art nouveau movement around the turn of the century. My favorite artist from that period (and maybe fav artist period) is Alphonse Mucha. He is probably best known for his posters promoting the plays of Sarah Bernhardt.I collect his prints and have a bunch of other things with his images on them. They are just gorgeous.

I'm a fan af art nouveau as well, Ir love Alphonse Mucha's work his photographs that he used for study are wonderful as well. I stumbled accross them while browsing the stacks at the library.
Egon Schiele is my favorite with Klimt fowllowing close behind:
I love Gustav klimt as well, I know he's a bit overplayed, but I still love his work.
It's interesting that you don't care for Cynthia's work as it falls right into this line of work, makes the criticism more poignant.

I am a huge fan of nouveau, so much so that i have nouveau tattoos. (I have a Mucha text illumination on the back of my neck, and two pieces from my other favorite artist of the time, Aubrey Beardsley, on my back.)
I've recently been combing through books on the art of Harry Clarke, who has a style very similar to Beardsley's.

Hello Ladybee
I noticed that you are from Boston, I will be moving there in August.
If there's any way to take a picture of your tattoos please do so, would love to see them.
