Last night, Nexxus23 and I attended a spiffy little club night in Asheville, NC that is their monthly dark and spooky night. They do it the second saturday o' the month. We met DJ Nareau and a very friendly guy named Diego. Apparently they have a little LJ community as well.

They call their night The 5th circle.

The venue is really classy and pretty, its some old historic building or at least what looks like an old building, lol. We figured that networking with other local scenes is a good thing...Nareau said we were welcome to bring flyers for our events and Sanctus. .

We only met maybe 3 people and I'm not sure how that even happened..lol. Makes me think I should make a point to introduce myself to strangers at Sanctus, but nah..I'm a snob.

The next one is September 13. Whaddaya think? Ooh we could go to Biltmore (never been) then out for some food (Asiana is the best chinese buffet ever) and hippie maiming and then hit the club!!

Buttah's right- it was pretty cool, and their venue's beautiful. Should see it during the day- nice stonework of the deco variety with a couple gargoyles thrown in for good measure.

I'll close by saying that we need a goffick infusion in Asheville.

The patchouli reek needs to be covered with some clove smoke or Eau de Sarcasm or something... .

I might be interested in such a trek. I got the van... seats about 6 or 7... we could carpool it if anyone needs a lift.

hmmm...now do we wanna get a room ? The drive back isn't that bad, but it is always nice to get to stay somewhere...

Yah, I think the room would be a good idea. And the carpooling...it's more fun, and driving home after clubnights is icky.

Just FYI...

If you're driving and NOT staying in a motel, expect to pay for parking in downtown.
Or, you can park on a nearby sidestreet, like Montford Ave. or Chestnut. It's not a far walk from there, maybe 1/2 mile.
